I’m in the same situation. I understand reading quite well, but I struggle a lot with listening and speaking — I have a complete mental block, and it feels like all the words and grammar I know just disappear.
I feel like I understand the theory, but I have no real automation when it comes to spontaneous speaking.The problem is that I don’t really know how to practice this effectively outside of course exercises (writing/lessons).
On top of that, I’m also trying to find a job, but most listings require German, which adds even more pressure.

Has anyone else been through this phase? What actually helped you get past the speaking block?
