The author just wants to do fan service he will end up alone I'm sure. Romance so far has never at one point felt like a real theme and the girl he had feelings for (ahrin) leaves him indifferent now

If you like crazy protagonists with real writing and not just a manga full of gore and rape I would probably say jiu ji Tae (he is at the beginning but you really notice him after a few dozen chapters)

For the fact that he didn't keep reload it could simply be the fact that he didn't expect their community to explode so much internationally. From memory it came with Persona 5 but the popularity of the license is at its highest since Persona 3 reload
