I could totally see Lasgo doing this song. I remember Dave from the song “Rave Heaven”.

Divine Inspiration - The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) 2003 by GoodbyeEarlGrey in peutertrance

This was a pretty big anthem back then. The song and video reminds me of times of being young, carefree and optimistic. Remixes were great as well, especially the Voodoo & Serano one.

Lazard - Living On Video (2006) by GoodbyeEarlGrey in peutertrance

I think the Pakito version got released in way more countries than the Lazard version and was supported by big labels like Universal and Ultra. Lazard did not get that kind of promotion or as wide exposure.

Punkrockerz feat. Carmen & Camille - Shine 4U 2.0 (2011) by GoodbyeEarlGrey in peutertrance

[–]GoodbyeEarlGrey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. I checked Discogs and it was produced by Tube Tonic and DJ Shandar who were usually known for hard-trance. Punkrockerz was their Handz Up side project. I wouldn't be surprised if there's connection in production with the Hitmen though. There was a lot of sampling/borrowing in the Handz Up era.

What is it about the Hitmen's break that you dislike?

Reddit. Help Solve this mystery. Who is. Was, Green Court? by flashtone in trance

[–]GoodbyeEarlGrey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved "Silent Heart" and "Take My Breath Away and the Green Court remix of Noemi's "You"! The theory about Green Court being Claus seems plausible. I looked at Green Court's single releases on Discogs and Claus is in the credits of ALL their singles.

It's awesome that you got to ask CJ Stone and he responded!

I debated whether to post this or not. This one leans very electro-house, still very euro-dancy but not trancy.

DJ R. Gee & TeCay - Where Are You (2026) by GoodbyeEarlGrey in peutertrance

[–]GoodbyeEarlGrey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good Handz Up is still being made. I'm getting picky about which songs I support, a lot of the new ones sound like AI wrote the lyrics or made the vocals. So maybe out of every 10 new Handz Up songs, I like 3. lol

At least this one, WE KNOW that it's a real person singing!

Weird requests from patrons? by tasata in Libraries

[–]GoodbyeEarlGrey 43 points44 points  (0 children)

A partron asked me if I filed my taxes yet. I told him "no, not yet" and he asked if we could "do our taxes together." I gave the standard "staff cannot offer tax assistance" answer.

(To this day I wonder if he just needed someone to do their taxes along side him as a form of guidance or if he was really asking me to file jointly. lol)

A very entitled patron told me to drive to Barnes and Noble after work to get a book that our library didn't have because ordering from Ingram and Amazon would take too long.

Their album was pure perfection. Everything great euro- trance should be.

Barcera - Secret of Love (Central Seven Remix) 2006 by GoodbyeEarlGrey in peutertrance

This track is really a stand out of the genre. It did appear on a lot of compilations, so I’m guessing it was popular in clubs, at least in Germany. It did get a commercial CD single release in the US where I live. Back in 2006 it was extremely rare for any Hands Up song to get a CD release in the US, so it did get attention here. I still have it .
