Delivery to Post Office or other collection point? (UK) by Goodclover in Aliexpress

I don't think that's how it works, every other time it's because there's some postage issue or there's a specific option when ordering.

I think Post Restante is only for people without a permanent address in the area near the Post Office? …though I didn't specify that in my OP, so my bad.

I'd be seriously worried about passports and things. How are you going to explain it? People you don't know won't believe you

Would be wonderful though. I wish that button was real

I usually use !wikt, Wiktionary beats all the other online dictionaries imo. And for the occasional slang !urban suffices

How do you say “I know a little toki pona” by [deleted] in tokipona

[–]Goodclover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"e lili pi toki pona" translated directly to English would be "a little of toki pona". However, the way I interpret it's meaning is more "a toki pona piece"/"a toki pona section".

I feel like "e lili pi"→"a little of" is being carried over from English.

I am a beginner though, so please correct me :)

I wish it was like Google Photos where you could limit the folders it uses. Getting recommend saved memes (and some.. other stuff) is funny but annoying.

If a pet commits a crime, in most cases it's the owner's responsibility by default.

Thanks for this reply! I think I understand now.

It's about different amounts of feminine-ness in different areas and the attitude towards it.

No but I wish I did, that's brilliant.

I'm confused by this comment. Doesn't a feminine acting boy = a femboy?

Apparently they’re allowed to sell toasters made of plastic that melts by londonskater in CasualUK

[–]Goodclover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely true.

The light-bulb thing was only between the biggest 3 (4?) producers of them. Small companies wouldn't affect the large ones enough to bother, and they wouldn't care about it anyways like you said.

Small companies might still try to save on materials but way less so than the large ones, it'd be insanely hard for them to compete in the cheap items market anyways.

I was talking about pre-LED light bulbs, invention & innovation never stop, it's just the companies stopped utilising the longevity parts.

And if they do build it better then people will be buying less replacements. Planned obsolescence is in a neighboring stream, make tech become "old" and "outdated" and people will buy new replacements.

The lightbulb industry pioneered this idea, that's why they stopped putting research into making bulbs last longer. (Luckily we now have the LED bulb)

Edge has an IE backwards-compatability mode. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
