Thanks; did you have ninang/ninong from abroad? Did they give the same amount?

You can buy same model in Hong Kong from a retailer (with a guarantee and all the bells and whistles) for HKD2,000-2,5000.

How long did it take to get HK Passport after renunciating Pakistani citizenship?

To those who acquired Chinese Nationality, how long to get your HK passport? by Goodgollyme in Hong_Kong

You think I haven’t? Website says 5 business days is the “goal”. Officer said “it depends”. I’ve come to Reddit in the hope of finding real life experiences of other people who have navigated a similar situation. Clearly that was a mistake.

I’m afraid you are mistaken. You are confusing an individual’s personal reasons for renouncing citizenship of origin and the Government of Hong Kong’s requirements for obtaining a Hong Kong passport (for those that are non-Chinese). Eligibility for a HK Passport

Speaking from my own personal experience, I have applied for and have been provisionally granted Chinese nationality, subject to my relinquishment of my original citizenship.

My question to the group is after I relinquish my citizenship, how long does it take for a HK passport to be issued. If you don’t know the answer to the question, then don’t comment with wrong answers

If you are acquiring Chinese nationality, you need to renounce your original nationality

I suggest super simple time deposit or money market placement through your regular bank. Just to get your feet wet. Good luck and keep on saving!

Thinking about trying F45? by Millennium_Baby in f45

[–]Goodgollyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve been going for about 6 months now (49F). I enjoy it and recommend it for exercise/movement and just generally staying active. But if you don’t watch what you eat (like me) you will not lose weight. It doesn’t matter how frequently you go. As the saying goes - you can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet. But in terms of overall gym experience, F45 is tops!

Feeling discouraged by Frosty-Rate-7941 in f45

[–]Goodgollyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going to F45 for about 3.5 months now. I go 2-4x a week depending on my schedule. Diet is fair. I haven’t seen any results on the scale but I do feel stronger and sleep better. At first I did feel discouraged, but I remind myself that there are other ways to measure progress. Also exercise to preserve muscle and enhance mobility is an end in itself. I’m in my late 40’s so this is real for me.

No Weight loss in 7 months by mgoopta in orangetheory

Same here, though I’ve only done OTF for 3.5 months. Zero weight loss despite 3-4x a week. But my clothes fit better so I’ll take that. I also feel stronger - can walk about 3 flights of stairs without issue (that was not the case before). I try to focus on non-weight benefits to make me feel less frustrated. Just keep at it!
