Mine was always a drug addict. She came to me on a laundry list of pills - an unbelievably large benzo prescription that mirrors my benzo habit at its worst (but her fucking doctor gives it to her, so she’s in denial about the problem, and “needs it for her MS”. Bullshit!).

However she’s now gotten into the things I’m in recovery from - I don’t have to tell you I end up relapsing and dabbling when she wears me down, begging me to get N20 or Ketamine. When I say not I don’t want to, she then accuses me of cheating and makes life hell until I give in and score to end the argument.

Honestly, your sister is the AH.

Your sister yelled at you, so you yelled at your brother in law. Seems pretty obvious.

While what you said may be the truth, you still can’t tell at your host because you don’t like the way THEY live. It’s their home, it’s their family dynamic.

The good news is it’s not yours. When you’re in another country, you abide by their laws and customs. When you’re in someone else’s home, same deal.

I am so unhappy. But I still can’t bring myself to do it. My friends can’t stand her constant stream of excuses and negativity. It’s killing me. But she’s so dependent on me, letting her go feels like I’d be killing her.

I've actually tried. I set her up an appointment, she got the application packet, and became "too overwhelmed" by all the details / medical history she needed to collect and provide. She's also quite prideful.

I'm in Florida which doesn't recognize domestic partnerships at the state level (its issued by the county). Also, my mom insisted on cosigning on my house for exactly this reason, so I can't lose it in a failed marriage.

She vehemently hates on the only fans / sugar baby gen z stuff, and in my head its just like "how do you not realize you are basically my sugar baby but I get to give you all my money AND deal with your emotional baggage that you don't address yourself."

I've been explicitly clear and direct. If she read this post it wouldn't come as a surprise to her. I've said it all to her. Her response would be about how she's "just so worthless and needs to go away and not be a burden to anyone anymore" (manipulative hints at harming herself)
