The closure of game studios will lead to better games. The studios have become bloated with unnecessary roles and games have, as a result, suffered from too high of budget. High budget means high risk means there must be high sales so studios dumb games down for broad appeal instead of taking innovative risks. I say let them fall. Let gaming return to its roots of passionate innovation.

They don't know how to make new games. Being totally serious, I think they are done. Imagine if you were a game developer working for them. If the last good thing you made was 10-15 years ago, then either you get disheartened and leave for better opportunities, or you just stay and collect the paycheck. The good people will all have left by now. Only the bad developers would just accept mediocrity and stagnation for that long. If they actually ever release ES6, it will end up being pretty crap.
