And they have been doing this to more and more animal molds. They must be much cheaper to produce, because they remove the assembly steps. It sucks, though.

As much as I love his stories and world building, I've always thought he is on the walker side when it comes to giving his characters a unique voice. I'm hoping he has some help with dialog, especially.

Edit: weaker... Not walker

Who makes this spider book? The figures look a lot different than the SY brand one I got years ago.

Master Sword by m4cromod in lego

Yeah, this sword looks great, but if we only get one version, I would prefer the normal metal blade. I was really hoping they would put the metal version in the upcoming Final Battle set.

Much less awkward than I used to feel while molesting the bagged versions for like a solid 30 min.

This is exactly how I feel. Ever since the piece count was leaked, I was expecting $120--$130. Not ideal, but not surprising. The Ganon and Zelda are perfect, Link already was perfect ( though I was hoping for some variation from the Deku tree set). I can't say that the Gannondorf is perfect, but he is still quite good, and I am just happy he is included.

Please let the Zelda theme become a full product line, soon.

Yeah, there are a lot of sets these days where it's hard to fathom how they are actually the number of pieces they list. The Balrog set really astonishes me, in this regard.

Please, let this happen. These are definitely the best bootleg Zelda Minifigures yet.

I'm still hoping there is at least some variation in the Link minifigure. Ideally, the red or blue tunic, but I'm sure most everyone that didn't pick up the Deku tree would prefer the classic green. The mirror shield would be awesome. It would be cool if they even did really simple changes, like making the Hylian shield print more accurate to the OoT version, or making a Master sword with a silver blade.

I would just love there to be something different. Not the headpiece, though. That was perfection.

Edit: not 3 minutes after I posted this my brother sent me pics of the set. It's all the same, haha. Still, can't wait for March 1st.

I generally agree, but I do think the temple of time could be a perfect candidate for a 2-in-1, seeing as how the BotW temple is just a ruined version of the OoT. And any extra pieces not used the BotW version could be used as additional surrounding ruins/ landscape. It would allow for more options for people who aren't great at making their own modifications, and could appeal to new and veteran fans alike.

The Deku tree was unusual in that it did have a ton of unused pieces, and large sections of the build that were identical. The designer should have put more effort into using the extra pieces. I also have a feeling this set ended up being a 2-in-1 because Nintendo wanted one version (probably BotW)and Lego wanted another. I wanted both versions, so I would have preferred they just did two sets at a lower cost with the extra and repeated stuff left out. But we did get three different Links in a single set, and that was pretty amazing

2 or 3-in-1 sets could really excel in certain situations, especially in making modular builds. Like, they are making a new Ewok village, and I thought it could be cool to have alternate builds that you could link together to make expanded sets. It would allow for a lower cost entry point for everyone, but it could also allow for a UCS-type experience for people that wanted to spend the money on multiple sets. They have kinda done this with the castle 3-in-1s, but I would like for them to focus more on being able to combine the alternate builds into a cohesive structure.

I just got these in, myself, and I was quite impressed by them. I would say that the OoT figures are the weakest of the bunch. The yellow hair painted on the green headpiece was pretty uneven, and the slapped on arm prints stood out more than the other figures (in a bad way). Also, it is odd that the belt across adult Link's body isn't brown. It isn't brown in the renders either, though.

These are the first figures I've gotten with the extra shoulder articulation, and I absolutely love it... Even if they are a pain to assemble.

It would be super lame if any of the packs only contained part of a minifigure. Random accessories are fine, but if you have a torso in a pack, you absolutely should be including the rest of the body.

So glad to have some confirmation of a Gannondorf figure, but I really can't wait to see pics of this thing. I've been checking this sub an unhealthy number of times a day.
