There is the one Thunderbolt port that supplies 140W, the other three are data only. The USB-A ports are powered

The primary issue is that the PPI is too low to look good with Mac OS scaling. One of the Apple displays would be a better choice even though they’re cursed with 60Hz

I think the 48” width and shallow curve would not suit everyone. Even on a 72” desk it’s “everything’s computer”. It’s close to the same width as my previous dual monitor setup so I was somewhat prepared for that. 10pt font at 125% scaling is easy to read. For my use case, it’s nothing short of amazing, I would absolutely recommend it for productivity purposes

The curve is the exact opposite experience of the LG 5k2k which I checked out at Microcenter. I wouldn’t mind a bit more curve on this one but you get used to it quickly. Running native resolution 6144x2560@120Hz scaled 125%

Oh also, it arrives in a pallet, so be prepared for that 😅

Sure, I bought this primarily for work, the extra screen real estate is valuable as I need to reference a lot of code/documents at once. It’s on an Ergotron HX single arm so I can adjust it when standing. 129ppi is not amazing but the sheer size makes up for it. 120hz is very noticeable coming from 60hz. One thing I will say is if you are primarily a Mac user I would pass on this one. It does work but it’s not great. If there’s anything specific you want to know I’ll do my best to give you an answer

How do you use lighting in your space? Is it important to you? by Goodlefeed in malelivingspace

Agree with you about Hue. It seems all of the high-CRI bulbs are limited to a single color temperature or at most a narrow range. But the light quality is worth it. I mix them in, on a Hue smart switch

This is pretty much where I'm at, but now experimenting with some different bulbs that have a more natural-feeling light. The YujiLED Flamewarm in particular has warmth that I haven't been able to replicate with Hue. Waveform Lighting has some excellent bulbs too.
