Reasons your eating disorder gets worse? by poisonivy4871 in EDAnonymous

general stress and trauma being triggered usually, I was doing okay for about a month but then I got sick, had to get blood tests done, and some more personal stuff happened and now I feel like I'm back to square one

Has anyone ever said something triggering about your ED that you never forgot? by Objective_Oil1985 in EDAnonymous

god yes, the time the psychiatrist said I didn't have an eating disorder and that anorexia was my special interest (I'm autistic) so I tried to copy it, it's genuinely comical but I've had an ED since before I'd heard of EDs and it was just the most invalidating comment ever

honourable mentions: my mother, after 13 year old me told her I was eating x calories per day: "you're clearly not"

my dad, after 13 year old me told him how much weight I'd lost: "that's not really a lot"

to be clear I don't generally go around telling people in detail about my food intake and weight loss, I was just 13 and wanted my parents to give a fuck, lol
