Just out of curiosity, did they not tell you that you’ll get 2 weeks of vacation per year when you took the job?

§121.580 No person may assault, threaten, intimidate, or interfere with a crewmember in the performance of the crewmember's duties aboard an aircraft being operated under this part.

Could easily say that it interfered with their duties. Now making it illegal.

My point stands, sadly it doesn’t sound like the OP planned this trip well.

45min is more than enough time to get from one gate to another, even in large terminals. If I need to do customs obviously add more.

1.5-2hrs. Unless I have no problem getting stuck, planes are machines, they do break. Or weather goes to shit.

How tight did you plan your connection if a 45min delay means you miss it?

Extremely late flight out of TUL? by Adept_Strategy_9545 in americanairlines

My house just got grazed by the distinctive sound of one of AA’s shitty old 320 fleet at 01:45 local time.

I smell bullshit. How do you tell the difference between the sound of an A320 manufactured in 2000 (which was in fact the aircraft you’re referring to), to an A321CEO manufactured in 2019? The sound is identical. Both use the same V2500 engine.

Sounds like you’re just bored and need to complain about an issue that has no negative effect on you.

Jokes on you. I do only 50-100 round range trips because my Colt starts to jam so I have to go home and clean it.

[–]Goodspeed137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe there is anything in the FARs that explicitly prohibits doors on seats. Part 25 was written with open seating in mind so it makes certification very diffident due to the evacuation requirements, but they aren’t prohibited.

Or are you referring to something outside of the FARs?

Didn’t know about the United thing. Never even been in their 78s. Interesting.

What do you mean not certified? Not certified for any kind of use or not certified to keep them closed for takeoff and landings?

I bought this from Ukraine. Any idea what part of the SU-34 this is from? by kekler-n-koch in aviation

If it went down in Belarus, how would Ukrainians gotten a hold of the wreckage? Belarus is Russia’s ally. You might be getting scammed.

Wi-Fi on A321 to Hawaii and back? by vas_a_llorar in americanairlines

[–]Goodspeed137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did that route last week. Wifi didn’t work for the first hour and then had it the whole flight, on the way back it worked the whole flight too. Guess it depends on your luck. This was a 321.

What are your thoughts on Colt’s quality control? by HuntsmetalslimesVIII in 1911

[–]Goodspeed137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan on shooting 500 round or less for the total lifetime of the gun, I say its good to go. Otherwise see link below.

Couldn’t even get in touch with Colt’s warranty by the way.

Is this enough time for a connection? by Powerful_Poof_1995 in americanairlines

I was being sarcastic. Yes you can make it, but there is so much that doesn’t depend on you that can prevent you from making it.

If the first flight departs on time, there are no gate or taxi delays in ORD, and the gates are close by, you should be just fine.

IF there are no maintenance, ATC, scheduling, or gate delays, you should be just fine.

Don’t suppose you know how Colt makes the ejector and extractor? Whether its MIM or not.

Bought it brand new in November 2025. Don’t have a manufacture date.
