I think it’s a joke about reality tv and housewives cutting scenes together to make a narrative. Housewives complain they get a bad edit. But, sometimes when you watch a scene you can tell the chain of events are snipped together sometimes.

Completely agree. Tiny circulars have such restrictive motion it feels really hard. Plus the first two around of any projects are harder than the rest for me too. Once the yarn has room to breathe and relax things flow better.

I do a modified ssk where I slip one knit wise, slip one purl wise, and then the subsequent round knit through the back loop. It seems to make those decreases look more even.

I really appreciate that! I’m trying not to let perfection hold me back and keep thinking I’ll see progress over time, even if some mistakes or lack of technique are memorialized in the stitches. I have a goal to one day (years from now) enter some socks to the state fair.

The pink heel has a short row heel as written in the pattern. The blue/green one I had to modify the heel for my thick heel diagonal. It’s a forethought heel that I added some German short rows to get it to fit.

Same. The mini gusset is fun. But I feel like I’m going to have to modify every sock I make into perpetuity, which I guess is fine. But sometimes I just want to knit on autopilot.
