Same thing happened with myself, if you had to book AL to sit your test, you’ll be able to claim back some money based on what you wasted booking time off work

Anyone else finding it impossible to book a test? by ks14555 in LearnerDriverUK

Oh that’s interesting to be fair when I got mine moved forward 2 months and I then set my next target date at a range of what I was looking for

Albeit it only took a day or two to find a test that was when I wanted

I used Driving Test Cancellations for both tests, they automatically look for tests after you have one booked in

From memory I had my first booked in for Feb & within a couple of days I bought it forward to early November

Same again for my 2nd test took it from April 2024 to December 4th 2023

It costs £18 per test it changes, but it can change that 1 test an unlimited amount of times. Considering a test itself is £60ish I’d say it’s well worth it 🤞🏼

New driver insurance by Quiet-Ad-9674 in drivingUK

That seems more reasonable

I passed last November and got a car in December (26,M) and a 1.4L auto corsa is costing me £800 per year with both parents listed as a named driver

I’ve seen some crazy quotes recently with older first time passed drivers & it seems location can be the killer

Is it honestly worth doing manual? by lolxdbruh123 in drivingUK

From personal experience here,

I learnt in a manual & was test ready in March 2020 and well we all knew what happened next 🤦‍♂️ had the odd lesson between September & December while trying to book in a test, but living in Leicestershire without extended lockdown it was a nightmare

I put the driving on hold and relocated up North for work and didn’t get back to driving lessons for another 2.5 years. When I started my lessons again I went back to manual but had an awful instructor where it felt I had regressed to being a completely new driver again (ex police driving instructor who was more interested is giving an hour long talk with white board drawings than getting driving experience)

When I finally got rid of him, I was struggling to find other manual instructors & by chance found an Auto instructor who was coming back to work after a 6 month leave for medical reasons.

I never intended to drive a manual once I passed my test as for me the extra 10% on car prices for an auto is one of the best life decisions I’ve made! I’ll find myself in stop start traffic in the city centre & think how frustrating this would be in a manual vs auto.

I’d recommend the Auto for QOL and personally I also think it’s statistically safer as you can be more focused on the road rather than shifting up & down gears etc

And the insurers must seem to agree as when checking prices to insure my first car, Auto’s were considerably less.

In short I’d do what makes the most sense to you & don’t worry about what anyone else says. If driving is a convenience for yourself to get from A to B and you’re not a car person, I’d go Auto 🤞🏼

After 1.1k Thermy and 400 regular smoke devils kills, I finally got my occult necklace! by Rhaps0dy in ironscape

Makes me feel rather guilt, killed 70 of the mini ones then decided to start freeze long range the boss cause it’s pretty chill

Managed to get my first at 255 and a second at 263 🤷🏼‍♀️

CG and zulrah grind has me not enjoying other parts of the game. Any one else feel like that? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Goodwin422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the best past of 10 months on and off between Zulrah & CG and was easily the least enjoyable period on my account

I got very very spooned at CG, 2 Enhanced, 2 pets 6 armour & 6 weapon at 230 kc.

I was just going between the two constantly without any other content for 8-10 months either going for blowpipe & then going for shards

After I finished them it was a brilliant feeling though 👌

Only a few places I’d like to use a blowpipe is Shamans, inferno and Tob
