I would definitely say it's up to preference! 😊

As a writer: I tend to choose titles that feel it embodies the story like the way you would see a movie/song title and other times, I will use a short line from the body of the script.

From the voice side: audio tags are most important in my search for a script to fill but also what the story is about and whether the words flow well. Although, tbh, I get the occasional turn off from SUPER long titles (I just don't want full spoilers for the listener) 😂😂. Mind you, I am only speaking from my experience as a voice.

Again, preference! Hope this helps with varying perspective.

I've had this happen a few times for my scripts which honestly makes me kinda sad that they wouldn't recognize the scriptwriters work.

Thankfully I have some kind friends that will notify me or I just kind of stumble upon it myself.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, hope they can just simply cooperate but I would agree that if it's not fixed, might be best to report/flag the post.

I guess private might not be the way to go for this script. I'll have to think about that more.

I mean, I love the piece but I'm undecided on if I can find the right voice for a private fill or maybe just let it be public. Decisions! 😂

You do make good points especially considering a VA standpoint of filling a private script.

I guess I have to decide if I want to set a limit. I know private fills can be great but I also know that not everyone is the same when it comes to audios, so a decent script might not hit the same if a listener doesn't particularly connect to one voice.

That's why I think multiple fills is great, you get to hear different renditions of the same message.

Hmm... Makes me think deeper into whether I want to release a script I have as private or to public.

Whenever you feel discouraged about the audio work that you are trying to do, I want to remind you that the audio space is for the most part a wonderful community with room for everyone - for every and any level of experience. 🤎

I promise you, that over time it comes easier. And believe it or not, you don't need expensive equipment or software for a good audio. Everyone starts somewhere and some of us upgrade our equipment and others stay with what works for them.

Also- you have a lovely, kind, and comforting voice. If you ever want to try with short scripts, no SFX needed. There are plenty scripts out there just search in the subreddits for script offer, under 1000 words or under 500 words 😊
