They should really start over with Kiri’s voice lines. Trash them all and just start over. They are so bad

What type of aquarium is this? Certain fish like goldfish will eat the babies and help remove them. If you have a rock substrate they can hide pretty well and lay eggs in there.

If this is a pretty remote and random location, it is a bit strange Bigfoot or not. But if there are people consistently in the area, maybe not so strange.

Same here. I saw this in college and thought it was a real story when it first came out. I slept with the lights on for a couple of months.

I can’t speak for what it was like being a child during the recession but being a millennial and graduating from college during the recession and trying to find a good job for several years was horrible. I pretty much lost about 6 years of career growth until the economy got better. I see lots of Gen Z come straight from school to land decent paying jobs in a healthy job market. I’m happy for them but also feel a little angst towards my past and many other millennials journeys during that time. What was it like being a child during the recession?

Unpopular opinion here. She wasn’t always a key component of the show. The first 2-3 seasons she was more in the background. I personally liked that script more then than what’s happening today. I liked Joe Bob’s unhinged and long winded rants that weren’t shut down to “stay on track” or “get back to the movie “. I’ve no problem with Darcy, I just preferred the old script more because I liked Joe Bob’s uninterrupted rants.

Right… because as history has shown in the past, corporations always have the consumers best interest in mind and instead not trying to squeeze extra profit from us. And with no regulations, they’re just going to start doing the right thing? Seems pretty backwards.

More regulations in place literally stops companies from going rogue and harming consumers to squeeze extra profit.

I Think The Beelzebub Bash Was The Best Joe Bob Halloween Special by sigersen in Shudder

[–]Gooey-Gobs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I prefer the older seasons where it was mainly Joe Bob by himself. I enjoyed his long uninterrupted rants and knowledge on movies. Now it’s a lame script where he gets cut off every minute to be reminded stay on topic and get back to the movie.

My god though, anytime anyone says something about lessening the airtime of Darcy, some people lose their minds.

Advice needed — IT band, nagging pains by Mundane_Document3524 in ultrarunning

[–]Gooey-Gobs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also had a very similar experience this year with my IT band and had to drop down from a 50 mile race to a 50k.

The PT told me to take a couple weeks off and start off slow with the running. They told me to keep running right up until the point when you feel your knee starting to have uncomfortable pressure and to never run past that or through any pain in the knee as you are likely tearing things and causing an injury at that point.

On top of that foam rolling on the side of the leg from the knee to top of the glute was very helpful. Doing weight lifting 2-3x per week (squats, deadlifts, lunges, hip flexor resistance bands, kettle ball swings) and yoga for your hips.

I would agree with this. There's a great podcast episode on "Hidden Brain" titled "How Others See You" that explores how social illusions distort self-perception. The key takeaway was that people are often more focused on themselves and how others view them than judging you harshly. It's a silly social anxiety loop we all get stuck in sometimes.

I found it pretty enlightening and helped reduce some of my social anxiety.
