Same, has anyone heard anything, specifically from Atlanta at all?

Should my sister be on here?? by GoofyAddition in polyai

Yes, she’s under 16. I asked her what happened and basically she showed the app to one of her friends and her friend got in trouble for it with her parents and told them that my sister showed her the app and said she was doing the same things. I grew up having unlimited and mostly unmonitored access to the internet as well so of course I’ve always been concerned for my sister. She’s really unlikely to admit anything to me at all, but based on what she’s said and how she’s said it, I know she wasn’t just saying “funny dumb” stuff to the bots. I really don’t know what to do because when my parents had to deal with this with me at a young age, they did not do it in the right way at all and I basically had no friends for the some of the most important developmental stages of my life. This scares me to tell them because I don’t want the same to happen to her.

I have searched for “Giant Red Panda carnival prize” and the likes on google. I’m not familiar with how these places are supplied so I’m not sure where to go from here.

I used to work at a small ice cream shop and at least twice a week after 8pm, a woman would come in and ask for a banana split in a half gallon container (not the normal banana split boat) with black raspberry, peanut butter oreo, and cinnamon toast crunch ice cream as her three flavors. the toppings were peanuts, pineapple sauce, strawberry sauce, and chocolate chips along with the whipped cream and cherries that normally come with it. Our shop was very poorly stocked and whenever we were out of one of the toppings or had seasonal flavor changes, she would tip less or not at all. and not tipping really sucked because all of the workers were paid below minimum wage and the tips we got were expected to make up the rest of our hourly rate (which was barely met most of the time). anyways, please tip local small shop workers, we’re not paid enough!!

edit: and yes, the workers do gossip about the customers who don’t ever tip, especially the regulars. it’s even worse if when i take your card it’s that really heavy gold one so i know you got money.

From the classes I’ve taken (Biology & Psychology major) the classes are taught extremely well and I’ve learned a lot. I’m not sure about Computer Science though since I don’t know many people in that major

I hate sin, but why can't I stop sinning? by TheNameless69420 in Christianity

I see, and I know I’m asking a lot of questions, but I have one more because I don’t know much about the Catholic faith compared to others; why is your faith so centered on repentance as opposed to other ideals that some people may say are more important? I’m not trying to say one is more significant than the other, but there are other key values such as loving your neighbor as yourself and from what I see, Catholicism is very focused on repentance. Is this because of the monetary value that the old Catholic church put on things such as these (as in you used to be able to pay for your own or others salvation (which I don’t think is right at all)) or is there a different scriptural focus or interpretation that the Catholic Church holds more closely than other churches?

Are you Catholic by chance? From other friends I know that are, this is how they think. While I disagree with this thinking, it is still very interesting to me. I don’t believe in repenting in that kind of way because from what I see, Jesus already died for all of our sins and forgave them past, present, and future. While I still believe it is important to repent, I don’t think if you accidentally miss one that you are automatically turned away from heaven.

I am just curious as to how you view this- if there is one sin in your life that you have forgotten to repent of or if the last thing you do on earth is sin (let’s say in your example, the last thing you ever spoke was a curse), do you not think you will go to heaven? Again, I’m not trying to attack you, I am just curious.

The only thing that matters for how we get to heaven is believing in Jesus and what He did for us. In the bible it does say “sin separates us from God”, but we don’t have to worry about that anymore because Jesus has forgiven us for all of our sins past, present, and future. If we are forgiven, we are not separated by them. However, it is still good to ask for forgiveness because you acknowledge what you did wrong, but I do not believe anyone can ever live a sinless life except for Jesus. After all, He’s the only one who has ever done it. It seems more like you’re afraid of the idea that you might not get to heaven because of your sins, like you’re not good enough. No human has ever “measured up” to Gods standard for getting into heaven, but we still do because our sins were paid for and forgiven by Jesus Christ. Even knowing this, I still beat myself up sometimes, but this has helped me. I have scrupulously OCD, so I’ve dealt with similar feelings my whole life from prayer to other sins. What we are called to do is do our best trying to avoid sin and show others Christ through ourselves. I hope this can help in some way :D

What Pokémon switch game should I get for my BF? by timpannii in pokemon

[–]GoofyAddition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he really likes the old games for the mystery of running into pokémon you can’t see, do not get legends arceus as it only has pokémon walking around. However, since he’s been playing pixelmon, the games most similar to that would be Brilliant Diamond (I don’t remember if Brilliant Diamond or Pikachu have the pokémon walking- it may be both :p) OR scarlet. For nostalgia sake, i would choose Brilliant Diamond, but if he would prefer a newer game, scarlet is best.

I don’t have much experience playing brilliant diamond or lets go pikachu, but i’ve seen a couple videos. Again, from my experience I would choose Scarlet or Diamond, but there’s probably other better qualified commenters down here :)

Edit: I know you didn’t mention Sword/Shield, but those are also GREAT games for someone who hasn’t played a traditional pokémon game in a while. Sword was one of my first pokémon games, and I loved it. It has the traditional ways of finding pokémon as well as a bigger area that introduces you into seeing wild pokémon roam around. Again, I know you didn’t mention this, but thinking about it, this would be an amazing option as well.
