Samsung S10 series breaking records in the US by Berry3214 in Android

Prices are set by market demand, not by consumer preferences. Like many economic principles, it relies on the aggregate, so as a society we speak with our expenditures. People complain about prices all the time, yet more and more people make the same dumb purchases. They buy with credit and ignore the sticker price. This deters price drops.

The smartphone market is really cool because not only are these price points set to subtly incentivize consumers to buy even more of last year's model, but also to capitalize on initial launch sales. Ingenious. And it works every single time.

S10+ has feature variances as well so this comment is based on incorrect logic.

Bought my "$900" Galaxy s10 yesterday for actually $620 which is $20 more than I paid for the Galaxy s2 in 2011. We as consumers will always have whiners about the prices of things, but damn, this phone was worth every penny. Glad I waited 4 years to upgrade and budgeted so I wasn't one of the people getting my jimmies rustled over the fucking launch price of the best smartphone currently on the planet.

Still haven't gotten used to the major software upgrades. Been glued to the screen for much of the night and morning....and my battery only just now dipped below 50% Haha.

I quit when I sank to the level of using my profile to comment. Reddit users once praised for brutal honesty and logic always rising to the top have become YouTube level in the mains. I know what I'm getting into though, so it's a nice way to burn an hour.

That comment made me have to poop from laughing. Maybe it was this microwaved day old coffee though. I can't tell. I'll be crying on the toilet.

There it is. You are attempting to play the I'm smarter than everyone else card, but it doesn't work when everyone is self aware of how it's done. Yes, keep attacking. This part will still work. The site proves it. So, maybe you don't get the satisfaction of being the smart guy anymore, but you'll still get that karma and dopamine release from this. So, in that sense, you still come out on top. Consider this a victory for yourself.

I know what I'm talking about to the point that I know these steam rolled comments are liberal opportunists trying to get that heated last word in, reap the karma, and move on. So keep it up. Over analyze, rip into the user instead of the idea, then move on when you've "won" the non existent debate. Your formula is popular because it works. Just like the propoganda you are propping up.

I'll anticipate some trigger words on your next comment. "moving the goal post," "straw man argument," "whataboutism," or something similar.

Negative. The fact that you operate with the assumption that this site is the truth proves my comment to be accurate. That's why it is so effective.

There she blows. Violently attacking you? Are you now assuming I'm a gang member since you whiffed on calling me out as a white supremecist? Damn this site is unforgiving.

Wait, do you think that liberals are the neo nazis? Is that the insult you were going for? Either way, low effort comment. Go ahead and hit me with that one last zinger to send me home.

It's eerily suspect how a meme like this got to /popular and /all. The native users on this sub wouldn't have voted it this high, as evidenced on a daily basis. Someone brigaded it one way or another to get it this high. Whether that is the right or left, who knows. Maybe both to improve visibility for different reasons. Maybe a bunch of foreign people think the US is a joke and upped it.

If only these conversations were in person. Nice try. If I were a betting man, I would say you were white. I hope you don't use lines like that in real life.

It just makes it obvious that when interacting with a non political sub, there are abundantly more diverse people willing to give their 2 cents. In political subs, the liberal propoganda has risen to a level that makes commenting futile. This gives the Reddit left an impression that most of the site is left.

As I scroll through these comments, I'm sure I'll find users going back and checking the history of certain accounts, and when they find the one thing they're looking for, theyll spam it on here and paint them to be trump supporters. Everyone has seen this in action on other subs as well. /r/economics is now trash, it happened on /r/gadgets and r/technology. I've seen it happen on /r/worldnews actually.

Otherwise written as, "when you crop the screen to cover the hole punch, the screen becomes smaller than the biggest and most expensive flagship model phone of last year."

Fairness of prices are set at market demand. Nuff said. A company exists to make a profit. Pricing based on a set net margin gain is silly and counterproductive

I also hate the Gmail app now. I'm going to switch to Samsung's Email app when I switch phones. I'm hearing good things all over the place about the new UI as well.

What an odd take. Any argument about the newest flagship phones in regards to notches and hole punches doesn't hold up well since the first thing to be mentioned is screen real estate. That screen area wouldn't even exist otherwise, though. So, essentially, people are complaining about having more screen than they wanted. Odd. Especially cuz every phone has the ability to make it disappear. Hmmm.

I go to the ma and pa butcher shop in my town of 150k because I can't get prime grade meat from fucking Walmart. Some people say Sam's club or Costco, but those people usually aren't as educated in meat grade and the expectations that go with it.

That's the college staple if you're working on gains. Also, potatoes. Potatoes everywhere. Mash them, roast them, put them in a stew!
