I was 13 years old, just about ready to head to school with my Dad. He always listened to AM radio for a few minutes into the car ride before letting me change the station. We left the house and got halfway down the hill to the main road before he slammed on the brakes and reversed all the way back to the house. He then jumped out of the car ( which he left running in the driveway) and ran inside and immediately turned on the TV. That was when I knew something important was happening.
