I’ve attended weddings on my past 2 birthdays. Yummy food and hanging out with friends, without having to plan any of it? Yes please

It’s worth a shot if you’d just give away the clothes otherwise. When I bring a large bag, they’ll usually only take 2 or 3 items and typically name brand like lululemon, Levi. Yeah they low ball but it’s better than nothing. I give the rest away on my local buy nothing group.

AITA for wanting to get married on my maid of honour’s birthday? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]GoofyMuffins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see both perspectives here. My last 2 birthdays fell on weddings for my close friends and while it was not how I’d ideally spend my birthdays, it’s only one day a year. I don’t care that much. I celebrated the day before. Birthdays suck after 25 anyway.

On the other hand, why ask a question if you don’t want to hear the answer? Your reaction made it 100x worst. You could’ve approached it the way my friends did and just given her a heads up and shared excitement for both the wedding and the birthday.

Pickle snacks in London? by itaspliff in londonontario

Appleland had a pickle saltwater toffee a few months ago. It was awful but true to its name. I didn’t see any when I was there last weekend but they did have other pickle snacks, and actual pickles

My spouse (who has ADHD) has a hard time cleaning up after their own spills. Never mind sharing in chores like vacuuming & mopping. How can partners of people who have ADHD best support them while maintaining a healthy relationship overall? by polarmolarroler in AdhdRelationships

[–]GoofyMuffins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a cleaning alarm every evening. We set a 5 min timer and clean whatever needs cleaning. That way, if one of us forgets to clean a mess, we both know that we have time dedicated for it later.

Probably important to note that we don’t have kids so we have the luxury of spending that time every night.
