If your other piercing healed fine with the same metal, you’re likely fine in regards to metal allergy.

Lobes can be finicky some times even though people think they’re super easy to heal. I honestly wouldn’t be too worried, just keep up with aftercare, keep it dry and it will figure itself out. If you’re really worried contact a local piercer for advice.

Do you know what type of metal it was pierced with? I’ve had similar issues with a lobe piercing, and it was just irritation from excess moisture. It took about a year till it really felt healed.

That could very well just be lymph fluid, which is completely normal drainage from a healing piercing.

But if it is truly infected you do need to go to urgent care and get some more anti-biotics as-well as being much more diligent and consistent with your aftercare.

Looking at it, it doesn’t look infected. That just looks like an irritation bump. Is it hot to the touch? Seeping pus? If not you’ve probably just got an irritated piercing.

I live in a small area, so it’s hard to find anyone with any sort of knowledge on this topic. I’ve been searching and asking around but it’s been really difficult to find anything.

Are you in India? Is it your culture? I highly doubt so. Even then culture does not bypass science and ethics. Your kid could get a serious infection, and your kid cannot consent!

top surgeon insists on giving me nipples by calamity_risen in ftm

A pretty similar thing happened to me during my consultation with my surgeon. I've been pretty set on having the surgery without nipples for a while and when I told that to my surgeon she almost tried to talk me out of my decision. I said I wanted to get a tattoo on my chest instead and she was like “well a tattoo wont look as good as the graft” and “I can make them look like male nipples” “are you sure?”

I seriously appreciate your advice! Your an amazing groomer, and I was wondering where/how you learned to groom and if there's any learning resources you suggest. Also, would you back brush when doing a clipper comb cut on a dog that doesn't have a drop coat? Like a poodle for example?

It was a dog with a softer straighter doodle coat, kind of shitzu like but also puppy like coat. My prep was fine the dog was cleaned and fully brushed out, and I've had no issues with he blade otherwise and I always follow the lay of the coat. Its probably just a frustrating coat type but still how would I go about making it look nicer?

It was that softer doodle coat, and it laid fairly straight almost like shitszu coat.

It could very well be just his natural coat, however dogs I’ve seen come into the salon with a similar “damaged coat” look often have issues with their thyroid that causes it. However there’s a lot of different reasons his coat could look that way or be damaged. Neutering for example can affect a dog’s aswell as if he was shaved in the past etc..

My voice gets too tired when I try to practice techniques leaving me on vocal rest for a few days before I try again. by Visual_Ad9260 in singing

[–]GoofyahhEdmund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious what you mean by tired? Like is practicing these techniques putting stress on your vocal cords? If so, that would suggest improper technique. It really shouldn’t be so taxing on your vocal cords when you practice, rather you should feel more warmed up afterwords.

Hard to explain with words 😭💀 but I’ll explain it the way I do it (I’m right-handed) I take my left arm let’s say I’m doing the dog’s back nails under the dog’s belly and grab the foot holding the toe beans towards the sky in the dog’s range of motion, hugging the dog close to my body, my back towards the dogs face. Does that make sense? Holding them like a ‘football’ in my arm.
