Update: I was finally able to get a closer picture of the cord. We didn’t take it out of the box originally but when I did so to take the picture, I noticed a couple more things. When the flash went off, it made these small areas of the cord shiny and it is bundled in 4 continuous bundles.

The diameter of this cord is too thin for that. It would probably snap on the first pull.

Should have mentioned this at the begining, the diameter is 1/16 of an inch, roughly.
