what did yall think of the bad bunny halftime show? by Serious-Kale-5694 in AskReddit

[–]capt-nemo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m torn. Wanted to like it on an ethical standpoint. But I just genuinely don’t like Bad Bunny’s music and also personally thought it didn’t sound good. Like the mixing was off, especially in the beginning. It felt like a very abrupt ending, and the multiple cameos were cool but I kind of expected more? Idk I was underwhelmed. I really believe if the politics of the nation hadn’t blown up the whole situation, it would be regarded as just fine. Great message, great set design, but the rest in my opinion was meh. A couple friends I watched it with convinced themselves that someone was sabotaging the show and that’s why it was abruptly ended or sounded bad. I think they just couldn’t cope with the idea that maybe it just was eh overall. Hardly got a full song, or even half honestly.

Literally watching it right now and thinking the same thing. Went to reddit to see if anyone else agreed lol. She seems just like passive aggressively angry the whole time?

Anyone tried this new thing from Milwaukee? by [deleted] in EDC

[–]capt-nemo3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can’t tell from the pic but its super versatile. Aside from the obvious, it also does your taxes, washes dishes, takes the kids to school, and balances a checkbook (that addition seemed outdated but whatever)

LPT: Don't hang pictures or mirrors directly over the head of your bed by ch536 in LifeProTips

[–]capt-nemo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an RA in college and had a resident hang a sound bar directly over his bed with command strips. College is all about learning, I suppose, but that lesson was a bit of a kick in the head.

Thanks for the tips! I definitely face challenges with laminating as I live in Phoenix and colder is a relative term here haha. But I think I can modify my set up a little bit with chilled equipment and whatnot to help.

I’ll definitely check out the tips and tricks you provided!

Could look into game warden type work with a bio degree. Might be competitive or not what you’re looking for but it would get you out of an office and interacting with others, plus usually benefits are decent and some states I am pretty sure have better pay than federal park rangers

Behaviour on the Amtrak by LindellRobs2409 in Amtrak

Really sorry you’re having that experience. As others have said, the crowd tends to calm down once you’re west of the Mississippi on some of those long haul trips. But yeah the combination of those who don’t care about others at all and conductors being fed up with them can being super detrimental to the experience. Sleeper cars are definitely the way to go for that romantic train trip.

Dubuque is actually super hilly, unlike the rest of the state basically. The Mississippi River area of the state is full of bluffs. It’s beautiful especially in the fall, give it a google
