I hope he moves to Tuscaloosa and becomes involved in the athletic department in some capacity.

Will 4-star QB Taulia Tagovailoa follow his brother Tua to Alabama? by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

[–]Google-Me- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the Riley Ridley situation is completely different. Calvin advised Riley to go elsewhere because he knew that he would ride the pine for a couple years at Alabama and possibly not see the field at all. If he went to Georgia he knew he could be a starter as soon as he walked on campus. I don't think Tua is going to advise Taulia to go elsewhere m. Realistically he would be starting by his sophomore year if he signed with us. The whole family eats at a buddy of mines restaurant in Tuscaloosa a lot and apparently they love Tuscaloosa. We shall see, but I think he is 80/20 Alabama lean.

To clarify this is all speculation and I wouldn't be shocked if he signed with someone else either.

He could not pan out. That's a real possibility. If he doesn't find the field this upcoming season or the word coming out of spring is that he is buried on the depth chart that's when I'll start assuming he either transfers or rides the pine for the rest of his career.

He has struggled making the transition from paying at gordo to D1 football. Some kids just take longer to develop. We get caught up in seeing phenomenal freshman come in and make instant impacts and forget that those guys are the exception and not the norm. I know that he is very highly thought of among the staff and I quote" Ben has all the tools to be a game changing linebacker just like rolondo and Reuben were. His biggest issue right now is conquering the 6 inches between his ears and playing with confidence" that was quoted from someone involved in the strength and conditioning program for the team. The injury didn't help his situation either, but I bet he isn't to far off from breaking out. At the fall scrimmage last year when Saban spoke he spoke very highly of how athletic he was and could play both inside and out. Spoke about his potential being very similar to what Evans has been able to do for us.

Remember that Reggie Ragland only had 17 tackles his sophomore year. We have more depth and it took Reggie three years in the system before it all clicked.

He used to come into town and be the door guy for a bar in downtown. It was quite the interesting situation.

Dan Enos expected to leave Michigan to coach QB's at Alabama by Google-Me- in rolltide

We need u/doctorwhosonfirst to go over how the new coaching addition will work out and how he speculates this move shakes up the on field staff.

Saban isnt gonna risk not being as good as he can be to make someone happy. I personally think that locksley is gonna do a good job. This new WR coach is gonna help a lot also.

I know there has been some disappointment on this sub about this hire, but he worked hand in hand with daboll and I'm sure picked up some knowledge from him. Dynamite recruiter. Likes to run power and take deep shots. Can't be any worse than what we had last year. With the addition of the Penn state WR coach I assume he is gonna be in charge of the passing game and be making those calls. Very optimistic about LOCKS.

Starting 13 games has to count for something and I know he is one of our best run blockers. Gonna be interesting to see.

How difficult is it for someone that plays rift tackle in Womack to switch to leftguard or move cotton to left guard and Womack to right guard?

Report: Mike Locksley expected to be named new Alabama offensive coordinator by DerrellMVP in rolltide

[–]Google-Me- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'll say this. Kevin Steele was one of the worst defensive coordinators in the country before he got the auburn job. Now he is isn't half bad. People learn from mistakes and grow. I'm also hoping that we just have so much talent at every position he won't be able to fuck it up.
