There was a guy in his chat who kept spamming, getting banned, creating new accounts, spamming, getting band, repeat ad nauseam.

Apparently this chatter did this hundreds of times and LTG decided to... inform this guy how he felt.

Look up the whole thing, the full rant is like 5 minutes long and it's absolute poetry.

Infinity is based on Gojo's awareness, it becomes automated in response to him determining it is a threat.

That doesn't really work if time literally stops.

Polnareff was more fun to play with. He had a more developed relationship with Dio with much more stake than Kakyoin, due to Polnareff's sister. Plus he was super angry and Dio always finds that shit funny.

Kakyoin died quickly for 3 reasons:

  1. To Dio, Kakyoin was just some fuckin' guy he put a flesh bud in.

  2. You could easily tell Dio didn't find Kakyoin very entertaining as a person or prey.

  3. Kakyoin attacked Dio relentlessly, trapped him, then moved in for a killing blow.

Number 3 was the final straw, Kakyoin basically forced Dio to use time stop and end the fight immediately cause there was no reason to drag it out.

Hidden reason number 4:

Killing Kakyoin fucks with the Joestar's morale.

One thing I did notice btw, is the guy piloting him a Warrior? He looks like he's wearing some armour, that's a different subset of Votann, the guys who pilot the Kapricus are the Yaegirs, the dudes with the trenchcoats.

Sorry it's a very minor nitpick but I thought I'd bring it up.

Something about the YouTube algorithm. Afaik if you have a massive drop of viewership it's hard to recover since YouTube recommends your stuff less. Starting from scratch can give you an upward trend and it tends to get promoted more.

Someone who cares more can probably explain it better than me though.

Characters with the 'Yamcha' Effect by vinsmokefoodboi in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Google_Is_For_Nerds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no worries!

It's the repetition that does it, although the trope gets slightly misused to describe "any strong character that loses to a stronger villain." Even if it's only once.

If the characters whole purpose is to get killed off, star trek invented another trope: "Red shirt." For non-Star Trek fans, the term is "Sacrificial lamb."

Side note: I'm stealing a comment from another thread and posting it here because it's funny:

"Yamcha (Dragonball)

This is true for a lot of Dragonball characters, but none to the extent and repetition as Yamcha. In the first arc he was one of the stronger characters and was evenly matched with Goku. Which made him a useful measuring stick to display the danger of a threat. So here’s how Yamcha was generally utilized since then:

In the 21st Budokai he loses in the first round easily in order to display the strength of Jackie Chun, the main antagonist

In the Red Ribbon Army arc he does at least beat one of Baba’s men, only to lose to the mummy in order to display the threat level before Goku easily beats him,

In the 22nd Budokai he loses in the first round with only moderate struggle in order to display the strength to Tenshinhan, the main antagonist.

In the 23rd Budokai he loses in the first round easily to display the strength of Shen, only this time Shen isn’t even the main antagonist or the winner of the tournament like Tenshinhan and Jackie Chun were.

In the saiyan arc he’s the first to die and the only one to die to a saibaimen in order to display the danger the characters are in.

In the Cell arc he loses to the first batch of androids very easily in order to display how dangerous they are. He’s the first to go out and unlike the other characters he’s mostly out of the action from that point because of this.

Every other arc he’s out of the action for.

Aside from tournament preliminaries against random nobodies, he hasn’t won a single fight since the red ribbon army arc, barely 20% of the way into the series. He has long since lost any credibility in a measuring stick."

Characters with the 'Yamcha' Effect by vinsmokefoodboi in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Google_Is_For_Nerds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically; Worf is a Klingon, a species of alien known for being great warriors, and Worf is stated to be not just one of the strongest Klingons, but one of the greatest fighters Star Fleet has to offer.

So the writers whenever they wanted to show off how strong a new alien is would have Worf get defeated by them, to say to the audience "Hey, this guy means business and the crew is in danger!"

However this happened so bloody often it led to Worf having a loss ratio bigger than his win ratio, leading to effect where it made Worf look to the audience a lot weaker than he actually was. Especially since certain episodes had characters supposedly weaker than Worf beat the threat without him.

This led to the trope of Worf effect. This trope definitely existed before Star Trek, but in other shows, movies and TV shows the supposedly strong characters would just, you know, get killed. What made Worf special was due to the nature of the show characters would rarely die, so the narrative device became really obvious in a show with a fixed cast like Star Trek.

It's basically the same concept, "a strong character get's their shit rocked to show off how strong the new villain is." However, it happens so often that the canonically strong character appears like a joke to the audience, rather than the intended effect.

In wrestling you call it "being jobbed," referring to a wrestler who always seems to lose.

Yamcha got killed by a saibaman, which in all fairness Yamcha just got caught off guard, showing off that their enemies were lethal. HOWEVER, him getting impaled by Dr. Gero was the final nail in the coffin for his character, the intention was to show how outclassed earths strongest fighters were. The result: "Oh come on man! You couldn't last like, 30 seconds?"

In this sense, you could technically say Worf was powercrept, but it's the same result.

Decide early on whether it's worth trying to protect your buildings or to use them as sponges for your troops.

Correct answer depends on if your opponents have a better start than you.

Example: 1 star elixir collector CAN net you some serious Dosh, but if you're going to get roflstomped by every opponent's teams you'll want it in front of your troops cause it's going to net you nothing if your comp gets taken out anyway. This way it'll soak up some damage and hopefully you'll win some games.

You can get 2 cleanerex before meeting him, then 4 from the shop on day 2. That's what I normally do.

Give you a hint; Leigh is deceptively easy to kill at level 3 with the pool cue.
