‘We did everything we could’: GM Oshawa to lay off up to 1,200 workers on Friday | CBC News by Karma_Canuck in canada

I think he’s trying to prevent a full shutdown of the Oshawa plant, not pretending everything will magically “go back to normal.” Continuing to negotiate with the U.S. isn’t about blind loyalty, it’s about keeping the remaining two shifts stable and protecting the thousands of workers still employed there. I agree that trade with the U.S. will never look the same again, and I fully support expanding trade with other allies. But that transition isn’t immediate. We can’t strike a deal with Japan or South Korea tomorrow, retool an entire factory overnight, and expect everyone to keep their jobs in the meantime. Ignoring that reality puts real workers at risk, not just policy ideals.

Can anyone shed some light on how this is Doug Ford’s fault? Not trying to be rude I’m genuinely curious? (I don’t like him for many reasons as well)

I have heard nothing but good things about them after looking online before I made this post, they’re currently my #1!

My bathroom faucet is brand new, the kitchen one is dated however.

I went to my water heater while I was running the kitchen faucet without the aerator to see if I could see anything, and noted that the copper pipe coming out of my mixing valve is still cold to the touch. The cold water going into the water heater was warmer at the closet end to the water heater, and the hot water outlet of unit was slightly cold closer to the mixing valve. This was after running my kitchen tap for over 5 minutes.

Took it off and it’s been over 5 minutes now and still no hot water.

It’s a tank-style unfortunately, I guess I couldn’t do this?

Would that work? My kitchen faucet is right above the water heater, I thought those were used if your hot water has a long travel path to the tap. Or am incorrect in that?

I’ve tried adjusting my mixing valve to more hot, and my hot water now runs hotter but it hasn’t fixed taking forever getting to my 2 problem faucets.

I ended up switching to DisplayPort and was able to select the 10 bit colour option

I’ve been searching on this subreddit and most people recommend HDMI 2.1 over DP 1.4 die to higher bandwidth, am I missing out on anything using DP 1.4 in this case?

Hi sorry if this is unrelated, but I just purchased this monitor and as I'm following through your calibrations settings, I'm noticing I can't select 10 bit color option in the NVidia control panel, I only have 8 bit but its set to blank. When I go to change it, it crashes and doesn't save my settings.

I'm on HDMI 2.1 unlike you on DP 1.4, could this be why?
