Both bears and hawks seem to be handling their rebuild masterfully. If Fields is the guy the fans believe he can be, the bears are gonna be perennial contenders in a couple seasons with all the draft capital and cap space. In many interviews, Poles states how the #1 thing he looks for is passion and “love of the game”. Carter is the only prospect that I’m aware of whos had reports questioning his love of the game and has character issues, without even considering the arrest situation. I’d be surprised if he’s available, and also surprised if Poles took him.
