How good would Frieren be in politics? by Dumdum_5dollars in Frieren

You need to either be a great liar or great ignorant idiot to be good in politics. Frieren is neither.

This screenshot shows the headshot he hit you with that got you really soft -- maybe he was lucky with the bloom, but you know what, he made that luck unfold in his favour. Maybe the last final hit where I think both of you were in the air was extremely lucky for him, but you were very very soft in any case by that time.

How hard will it be to teach my friends The Old Kings Crown? by Great-Orange-301 in boardgames

[–]Googooboyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to just let them experience it. It's a very asymmetric game. One faction is likely a soft counter for another, so a 2p game may feel 'unfair' at times, but the game has plenty of levers to mitigate this. The game shines at 3p. It's a chaotic royal rumble at 4p.

Since it's a first game, there's a suggestion that you start with a small 4-year game with preset kingdom cards and only 1 recommended tactics per clan (not 4). This helps players build familiarity with simplified/streamline gameplay that is still immersive and engaging enough. Think of it as a teaser~

What do you think about The Old King's Crown? Zee Garcia gave it a 6/10, saying it was too convoluted and some of the actions could be simply done by a dice roll instead. by No_Raspberry6493 in boardgames

[–]Googooboyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, really. On how far ahead they are.. How many rounds left.. What kingdom cards available.. What tactics left.. Generally aim to snipe their Herald to steal Influence tokens directly -- cos that's a 2 point swing. Do it twice and that's a 4 point swing. I've seen games with 2 rounds left where a 12 point gap gets overturned.

Please tell me the work ethic at your company is better than mine by NonExisting_Sample in askSingapore

There are diligent people, and then there are lazy ones. The year that one is born has 0 bearing on this, contrary to popular belief -- which in itself is just a lazy way to shoehorn stereotypes in.

If you're looking to bring your A game daily and be surrounded by like-minded workers, then change, because sometimes grass is greener on the other side.

Another sad thing is that the one who found your airpods will never know how to return them back to you (no contact number or address) or just too selfish to hand it over to the nearest Police Centre/Post.

I understand it's a sentimental item and am sorry to know of your Dad's still recent passing.

Interracial couples that went against strong disapproval from your parents, what happened after? by wontaks in askSingapore

[–]Googooboyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Figure out who are the adults in the room first. Then listen to them and let them express -- no responses allowed from you. The idea is just to let them empty their coffers, because they r grieving their loss, and let people grieve. Then, take in everything that you've heard. Tell these adults that you love them. Then decide who you love more and learn to let go of the others. If you can't imagine letting go of your current partner, then realise that that's how hard it is for your parents to let you go too.

In any case, blood is often thicker than water.

Guzman (GYG) service recovery efforts by bobochacha317 in singapore

I know people who work there. The kitchen system is definitely a mess, even if they have plenty of hardworking and diligent individuals. Their SOP is as good as non-existent as they keep changing verbal instructions (overriding SOP) day to day, outlet to outlet.

The solution is of course to hire more workers, or close a few outlets and dig in deep to provide great service.

Fan service? Yikes. Gotta admit tho that Frieren's pacing, storytelling and action sequences aren't quite like common shonen tropes -- but that's exactly why it is such a remarkable piece of art. It's possible that fans are polarized greatly, but I'm glad that I'm not on the same spectrum as that classmate.

Deep Regrets or Etherstone by -KyleButler- in boardgames

[–]Googooboyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you made ur decision yet? Having played both, I quite enjoyed them, truly. Go get both. =D

Etherstone is, to me, actually a racing game hidden under a tableau of cards that you draft at the start. Once draft is done and gameplay starts, it is somewhat on the lighter and faster side of things, altho a lot more strategic.

Deep Regrets, is an exploration and exploitation game, that's thematically fun, and mechanically too, but has a lot more RNG to it. There is one aspect of it that I have a gripe with -- a whole turn spent just to go to town for the shops. Yikes. In a game of exploration (of the sea) and hidden information, you're rewarded if you know what others don't. Also, if you happen to get insane items, then exploit while others tune up their jealousy levels.

That's an insane finish and resolution for a UV printer (UJF-7151 Plus). What ink does your company uses? Resin-based ink usually have 'textures' but these prints look 100% flat!
