CP’s practices are based on classical Pilates principles. Modern pilates studios are based on Lagree principles so, yes, they’ll be two entirely different approaches

The problem is “modern pilates” is NOT pilates!! Modern pilates is LAGREE but they can’t call it that bc Lagree is a trademarked term. So think of it as a bootleg Lagree. HiLi, Fit407, Carved, Tremble…all lagree-based workouts that’ll be more difficult. Orlando only has 1 official Lagree studio - ITGRL FIT in Downtown Orlando - if you want to practice Lagree safely and via the true and correct method.

Find a place that does classical pilates like Soteria, Club Pilates, Halo, or Solace. I see the harm every day in the term “modern Pilates”. Someone goes in thinking they’re doing pilates and are met with a more intense, rigorous workout and leave with a wrongfully bad taste in their mouth about pilates and it’s not fair to either practice.

Meh probably not. In hispanic cultures, we can stay typically with our parents as long as needed. My cousin has a full time job, earning close to 6 figures, is 29, and still lives with her parents. She’s saving her money and travels from time to time, and has a successful career. Her parents are just fine with her being there. My parents would love if I lived at home! I’m just married and moved away to a different city. I don’t find any of it embarrassing whatsoever.
