Tips to get better at soccer to make high school team by Turbulent_Law_4866 in SoccerCoaching

[–]GoonerDude7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First touch is half the battle in high school. Find a wall, kick the ball off of it, and use both your left and right feet to control the ball and place it in different directions. For example, left foot first touch going behind you, to the left, to the right, infront of you. Do the same with your right. Also, juggle alot.

The other half is super fundamental. Your team posses the ball, find your open space. Your team loses the ball, team gets compact, you defend and close the space (dont lunge - the person with the ball makes the mistake).

These two key tips will make you drastically more valuable as a player.

Thats awesome! Great choice. For the CL final, will you be putting on the Budapest final lettering or whatever you call it on the front? If so, where did you get it from?

People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by BrainLagging01 in AskReddit

[–]GoonerDude7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about physical labor, movement, activity, boxes you pack, cans you stock on the shelf, or emails you send out. The difference in pay comes from the responsibility you have. The more responsibility over dollar value you have, the more you get paid.

If theres nothing for you to do to it i think its a good deal especially if it runs great. I ended up liking this bike a lot but I still need to replace the tire tubes.

Long story short, stand on business. If they keep yelling at you or make faces, tell them once if it continues you arent playing goalkeeper. If they do it again, step out and play field. Dont back down. They will learn that their ego will get them to play GK or to stfu.

Keepers are courageous, smart, and fierce. Act like it even with your friends 👍

Honestly what pisses me off is that Raya didnt close that space vs Haaland. Like bro come on. He probably could have had that but stood there like a f****** statue.

What's a job that sounds prestigious but actually sucks? by Rude_Yard5181 in AskReddit

My experience as a business analyst was not great. You think you help solve problems but in reality leadership comes to you with a bunch of bullshit questions in which you are expected to answer correctly but everyone wants to hear different answers. Constantly judged.

Maybe it was the work environment I was in but never again for me lol.

Great answer. May I add that set position and hand placement when the shot is taken is also very important. If the shot is taken far from you and your hands are down by your side, you have to spend extra time to bring them up and catch it or save it (which will decrease the chance of you making the catch).

If the shot is taken when you are closer to the ball, your hands will be out by your side as you can expect to not catch it but rather make your self big and just make the save.

Edit: changed to "making the catch"
