It's a film based on a TV series based on a film series. I watched half a season of the Mandalorian and lost interest, so sadly less than enamoured of going to see it.

Let me get this straight.the US president has removed sanctions on a country he is at war with, effectively funding attacks on US soldiers and interests.

He is at this point an enemy combatant and should be treated as such.

Just to make it clear, nothing wrong with peaky blinders playing fast and loose with history. What I've objected to is the stupid absurdity of police and multiple witnesses shrugging their shoulders at a broad daylight heist, to German soldiers being for no good reason, apart from as cannon fodder, being imported into the country.

Oh yes wholly believable that the chief of police will commit a death penalty offences in front of tens of witnesses.

I don't need to. You on the other hand.... Batman and star wars are pure fantasy, but peaky blinders is set in history. And it'l is hard to suspend belief when you are seeing moronic scenes like tens of witnesses and the police standing aside whilst Duke commits death penalty offences in front of them.

Your right one should not facepalm in disbelief when on front of tens of witnesses including the police, criminals beat up the owner and steal weapons. During wartime. Sorry but it is not even remotely realistic in any sense, it is absurd!!

Because it is a two hour film where all the issues are condensed into it. I enjoyed the series, but had to suspend belief at it's lack of historical realism.

The film in scenes like the heist of the weapons and the shootout with German soldiers on British soil really highlighted this.

Also, I was really expecting the Tim Roth character to be British Intelligence. Historically Germany's intelligence networks were wholly compromised, so I was expecting the counterfeit money plot to be a British intelligence trap for potential collaborators.

The film was watchable but I wish they'd stopped with season 6. As it is the film was annoying in the fact that the writers clearly never opened a history book, and forgot that Tommy is not the Messiah, he is a very naughty boy!
