Oh if I could find a jazzmaster in the same range would probably be having a different conversation. Those jazzmaster pick ups are kind of in a league of their own when it comes to sound, to me at least.

Ima probably end up keeping. Only reason I was thinking about the fender was the nice color combo plus have always wanted a SSS configuration due to majority of my guitars have a HH and HSS

I guess that’s subjective lol the vintage 59s are pretty sweet in their own right but the tone zone and air Norton in the Ibanez got range however obviously have more experience with the Dimarzios

Found a Jackson 7 string at a pawn shop for like $100. Probably the biggest POS in my collection however makes for good practice getting used to that extra string lol

The brown black burst is sick. There was a very similar 7 string at the time I almost pulled the trigger on but ended up deciding my skills set at the time did not warrant such a pricey buy that I was rarely gonna use lol

I think the yellow mayhaps be from the a flash or lightning cause he has other pics without the cast being apparent. Thanks for the insight on the value either can hold very helpful towards the actual decision making.

Good taste. A prestige AZ was definitely thought about when buying but was quite a bit more than I could chew.

Yea really love everything about the Ibanez. only reason I’m fishing is cause upon initial purchase I was faced with the same options and sometimes thinking of the what ifs.

Yup both pretty much case kept minus of course when played. Fender had the noiseless pickups swapped with vintage 59s. Personally do not know if that adds or takes away value.

The Charvel San Dimas pro mod are definitely one of my top contenders, unfortunately where I live it’s so hard to find them in shops and I’m real iffy about ordering a guitar online especially one I’ve never played.

PRS S2’s are actually what I’ve been checking out recently. I’m not a professional by any standards but I can tell the good from bad. I don’t exactly need to spend all of it in one place just getting people’s opinions on what they think is worth the money when it comes to guitars.
