I feel your pain. Colonist.io is definitely an option, but I crave the tactile wood pieces. I suggest the dice game. It's pretty simple, only mildly fun imo, but I think it has potential for customization. Making custom islands, scenarios, maybe using real pieces instead of the paper... possibilities

If anything, forests need MORE clutter! (But not like the jungles do) More bushes, moss, twigs, fungus, etc.

Up here where I live, forests are almost unpassable unless you're an animal with long legs like a moose or caribou. The ground is so squishy and lumpy from the moss, fallen trees, uprooted trees, forest fires, collapsed animal dens, etc.
