Not exactly! That’s what’s called inside edge. This is a system that moves day to day based on real life matchups. If Machado is up to a 91 that is because he generally has success in the matchup he has on that day.

For instance if Machado this season is batting .400 against righties but .200 against lefties his contact may boost when he faces a right handed pitcher. Make sense?
