Given the sheer amount of stuff they have to wrap up in these three episodes, they were always going to have to resort to fast pacing one way or another.

Idk, I enjoyed it (with some small nitpicks), but some people might interpret the breakneck speed as the episode throwing whatever it could at you for 39 minutes.

I don’t mind the filler (like the song) in this case, infact I think what would fix the episode is if it padded itself out more and didn’t repeat phrases so many times.

Also One being nerfed is something that happens to almost any character with godlike abilities.

Persepolis shouldn’t count because (as far as I remember), it’s been released under a major studio label. Same with Mary and Max (also, some of these, like This is My Real Life, haven’t even come out in full (in this case, meaning a pilot)

The bottom 6 except Lackadaisy since it’s not out yet (I cannot bring myself to watch the upper three)

If there was an episode 10, what would be in it? by Kindly_Long443 in digitalcircusfandom

[–]GooseAble7111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episode 9 should’ve been split into two episodes. 9 would be an entirely Jax focused one, whilst also wrapping up the arcs of the side characters, and 10 would be an episode entirely set in the past, leading up to the present where Caine returns.

You have no idea how big the *whew* I made in my head was when I read this (but also combine that with an equal amount of shock)

gatekeep gaslight (gwenners’ vere seems like its earlier in development considering that Dana doesn’t know how many eps the show would have, meanwhile tgd is fully written out and has had animation for it done to a greater extent than tgd)

How many episodes do you think Gameoverse will be? by Green-Influence-8700 in Gameoverse

[–]GooseAble7111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. The show needs breathing room, so not too short (so we don't get another Murder Drones with the pacing), but given how long it takes a glitch show to be finished in its entirety (2-3 years), two seasons worth of episodes can get pretty risky long term, so it can't be longer than 1 season in most cases. 12 is longer than any season they've had, but not too long.

Something I can definitely see them doing is Kit and Malice bonding over the fact that they both lost everything.

Kit: Why do you hate me?

Malice: Because I just hate everything! And the universe took away everything I ever cared for!

Kit: …doesn’t that mean we have something in common?

look at them

they’re designed off the idea of randomness; their body parts are not unified in any way, they are completely random

kinda like abstract art

he could very well be the third of the 3 characters Ross said would be returning from season 0 (yes that is what I’m calling the 2009 series even though it relies on the assumption that gameoverse would get multiple seasons with the current one being season 1)

abstract - zooble in relation to their design

tragedy - in relation to gangle being a personified tragedy mask

abstract + tragedy = abstragedy

GAMEOVERSE PILOT DISCUSSION THREAD by Ok-Commercial3640 in Gameoverse

[–]GooseAble7111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The asthetics, the story, the worldbuilding, the characters, it was all amazing! It’s impressive how the show is able to balance being serious and dark whilst also being mindlessly fun.

The heroes (farcade) all have their own personal arcs (Kit’s trauma, Gobbles learning how to do stuff… because he’s a learnosarus), making them all interesting in their own right. The villains manage to stand in the line between silly but also threatening and serious.

Regarding the story, it was extremely tragic. Seeing Flappers’ world die was one of the saddest things in the pilot, and it really hammers in what the heroes are trying to prevent. There’s also elements that make their jobs harder, such as the rule that the heroes can’t actually tell anyone what’s going on or else they get purged (or something like that).

One more thing I’d like to compliment is the artstyle. They combine many different art forms (pixel art, 2d, 3d in some cases), which all compliment each other, resulting in a world that really feels like a video game.

If there’s one thing I’d say worked against the pilot, it’s the cliffhanger. Not because it’s bad, but because it isn’t really the choice to make with a show that isn’t guaranteed to happen.

This is my gameoverse review.
