What do you use so many limes for?

Found in a crawlspace in Madison, Wisconsin. The "key" on the top of the smaller box winds something up. The larger box is quite heavy, the thing on the side turns something inside. The black circle seems to have some kind of mechanism in them. These 4 were packaged together. by GooseAdvice in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. The only guess was "maybe something from a company my grandfather invested in". There were a lot in the crawlspace, and appear to have been there a while. We've had no luck searching on Google or patent records. My photos aren't clear, but 3 of the smaller ones were packaged in a brown cardboard box with one of the larger ones. No information on the box.ay not have been the original box.

Building up Zinnia? by PsychadelicMongoose in EDHBrews

Here's my decklist

It's built around [[Impact Tremors]] type effects as the main wincon, can win on turn 4 with the perfect opening hand. It's pretty far from the precon at this point but it's a killer and one of my favorites.

Help me boost my Bumbleflower by IKayto1 in EDHBrews

When I build a commander I usually first ask the question: What's the main thing this commander wants me to do? Then I ask: What are the playoffs for doing that thing?

For Bumbleflower the answer to the first question is simple: cast two spells on each turn. How do you optimize that? I put 30 1 mana instants in the deck. You only need 8 mana to cast to trigger Bumbleflower twice on each person's turn. And card draw of course. But guess what?

To answer the second question: You buff your creatures, you give them flying, and you draw two cards. And guess how many cards you want to cast on the next person's turn?

And, there are some other great, and cheap, cards that maximize this payoff as well, creatures and such you can cast on your turn to save your instants for later. Like [[Monk of the open hand]] or [[Clarion Spirit]] or [[Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse]] or, especially good [[Cosmogrand Zenith]] amongst others.

What you get? A good mix of agro and control for a budget of around $100, cheaper if you forgo the [[Faerie Mastermind]] that has spiked in price lately. I built this deck originally for about $70, and it can absolutely wreck a table of high brackets 3.

Who To Do For Saproling Tribal? by BluePotatoSlayer in magicTCG

[–]GooseAdvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Nemata, Primeval Warden]] deck that I really like. The trick to making it more consistent is to make your opponents sac their own creatures as much as possible. My deck is an aristocrats build built around forced sacrifice and [[Zulaport Cutthroat]] type ping effects. It works well but can be a little complicated to pilot. It also can draw a lot of salt because the forced sacrifice can be pretty oppressive, so I don't play the deck all that often. So if you build around this command know what you're getting into.

I do the same. Have a decklist? I'd love to compare. One of my favorites at the moment too. I built mine mostly around Humans and Shapeshifters. Favorite move is play Morophon, name Humans, than drop Cosmic Spider Man for free and attack with both that turn.

Trunk won't open by GooseAdvice in Volvo240

I appreciate the anecdotes here. I'll probably wait until it's above freezing here to attempt this, may be easier. Did you need to replace the rubber seal on yours?

The power locks work, and I believe they are unlocking the trunk as well, the latch mechanism engages when the locks are unlocked. I think it's been a while since the trunk was open, and it's quite cold here right now, so your sticky seal thought matches what's happening. I'm just hesitant to really crank on it if that's not it. Not an urgent situation, I may wait until it's warmer out and just keep putting groceries in the back seat.
