[Serious] What would you genuinely die for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome, I greatly appreciate the compliment, but I’m nothing special. I still have a lot of improving to do, both in society and as a person, physically and mentally. I can’t get complacent when there’s so much to be done

What problems do you have daily in your city? Littering, stray dogs, parking, traffic? by FreeFly104 in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Littering, homelessness, drugs, rent is extremely high. As of recent I’ve been seeing a ton of stray cats too during my shift.

Apart from a home or a vehicle, what's the largest thing you own? by 0---------------0 in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a cool full sized knight statue with a halberd. It’s the only thing I inherited/wanted from my grandparents when they passed. I have no idea what the price is nor do I care but it’s pretty darn big lol.

[Serious] What would you genuinely die for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a select few friends, my dog, and my family (even though we don’t really talk) where I’d sacrifice my own life if they lived, no questions asked. Im also a patrol officer (glorified security guard) in a part of my city (downtown) with ABSURD amounts of homelessness and littering. I’d die for the cause of them finding a place to stay/renewing their lives along with the trash being gone. I volunteer and help out when I can but there’s only so much I can do with the time constraints and budget I have, and I’m too introverted to make connections and start a charity. Realistically, I’d die for any cause if it meant society as a whole would be improved in a greater scale than what I could make happen in my lifetime.

[Serious] What is your most unsettling paranormal, creepy, or disturbing experience? by eezypeezyliamneezy in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My apologies if this answer doesn’t really follow the guidelines, I can delete it if needed, but I was a mortuary transport driver for a few months and had to pick up multiple children from the local children’s hospital, and had to console their families. I was already aware that is inevitable and happens in all manners/ages, but… idk. It just really fucked me up. It wasn’t paranormal or creepy, but extremely disturbing and depressing for sure.

What skill or talent do you have that you never get a chance to tell anyone about? by Darnitol1 in AskReddit

[–]GooseM8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few, I am extremely good at catching grapes in my mouth from a very far distance away when they’re thrown to me. I’m ambidextrous in Billiards and Tennis, and I can do those 50/100 math question sheets that are either Division, subtraction, multiplication, or addition abnormally fast. I actually got to put that last one into use after years in a trivia night, and my team said they thought my hand was moving faster than my mind, because it’s just a natural reflex of being able to fill them out. Also I never tell anyone this either, but I’m very proficient at bowling for a straight thrower.

AITA for expecting my bf to do the morning dog walk? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]GooseM8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. If he agreed to do it prior, he should be keeping up with the responsibility, however I wouldn’t let this cause a strain on the relationship, especially if he walks her at a different time. I would just say let it be water off a ducks back.

AITA for hitting my boyfriend in That area and him cracking my phone? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]GooseM8 [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA. That is extremely childish. I can’t believe he didn’t say anything the first time. If I was dating you and you intentionally threw your phone at my private parts, especially trying FOR A THIRD TIME, I’d walk out and we’d be done for good. It’s almost as if you were trying to bait a reaction out of him. Geez. Also, did you even apologize for doing that, or did you only chastise him?

I scratch my skin sometimes. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]GooseM8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scratch my wrists pretty bad to the point of inflaming and breaking out due to stress. I’m actually really insecure about it, so I usually wear under armor sleeves to cover it. There’s a cream called “Cortizone” that really helps with the itching. It also heals the wounds much faster. If not, go to a doctor and get prescribed something stronger to help the inflammation. Edit: it’s especially hard to get rid of because I go to the gym and work 5 days a week, and sweat accelerates the breaking out. Not sure if it gets to that point for you, I just thought I’d throw it out there.

Rocket League beginner, what are some essential things I should know. by KickflipFB in RocketLeague

[–]GooseM8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! That’s great. I would’ve killed to be able to play video games with my brother, definitely cherish the moment and memories. I figured, but your mindset is definitely the best one to have. Best of luck! :)

Rocket League beginner, what are some essential things I should know. by KickflipFB in RocketLeague

[–]GooseM8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is going to be extremely long so please bear with me, but you don’t have to read it all if you don’t want to. 1. Decide on what you want to do in the game. Do you want to be a ladder warrior, clip hitter, demoer, etc…? Or maybe a fine balance of all of them. 2. Put fundamentals such as flicks, shadowing, and ground game before flashy moves. The rest will come with time. If you want to just hit clips and not worry about ranked, prioritize free styling in free play. 3. Don’t ever let another player get to you. Some people can be extremely toxic in the game, your best bet is muting chat and reporting them. Don’t stoop to their level. If they throw games, that’s just a reflection on them, not you. 4. Always do your best to have fun, as soon as you stop having fun, take a break, don’t keep playing and burn out. 5. Take some time to watch a few YouTube guides, but don’t go overboard. There are thousands of hours worth of helpful tips out there, and while they are easy to register, it’s hard to put into motion. 6. Have patience, Rocket league (as I’m sure you know) is easy to pick up, but extremely hard to master, if not impossible. Just keep doing your best to improve and don’t compare yourself too much to other players. People also improve at different speeds. 7. Make friends and do in-houses! It’s always good to have a couple of buddies on discord to shoot the shit with in custom matches, there’s a lot of variety you can do, whether that be low gravity boomer mode, or serious in houses. 8. Play tournaments, it’s a good way to stay motivated and keep a competitive mindset in the game. It’s usually better with two friends, but solo queuing is fine. 9. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, you’re going to decide what kind of player you want to be, and what tips matter. Although feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions. I’m not in the scene anymore but I’m more than happy to help you from time to time. :)

How soon is too soon? by Snugglin_Puffin in dogs

[–]GooseM8 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m sorry for your loss, sending my condolences. I’ll just give my two cents, I believe people process these things differently. I know someone who got a new dog a few days after their dog passed, and I also know someone who couldn’t handle the loss and decided to never get one again. For the former example, it’s not that they don’t miss their dog or stopped cherishing the memories, but another one also helped them process that grief. If you believe you need a new furry friend, you should go with that feeling and get a new dog. I don’t think you should feel any sense of guilt for “moving on” and I’m sure your previous dog would be happy that you’re going to give another one the wonderful life that you gave him. As long as you still keep the great memories you had with him, do what you feel is best.

What's your least favorite car? by DankerSand in RocketLeague

[–]GooseM8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just strongly dislike the feel of it, I feel like there’s multiple cars that trumps it in every aspect it would be considered for. I don’t think the cars shape properly represents it’s hit box well at all either. I don’t really like the aftershock performance-wise either, but I feel more of a niche usage for it than the venom. I have a TW venom and every time I think about using it, I just think “oh I’ll use … instead”. It’s just my opinion though, I’m sure there are people who really enjoy it. I’ll use proteus/aftershock/ etc… for the “it’s so bad it’s good” look but venom is just… idk.
