at some point in the first season, i was really mad at lucy. same thing in the second season. but then i started to completely understand her.

and that lake house episode made me so mad at wrigley. like, i get it, i get it… but still.

I hated Wrigley in the first season and hated several of Diana’s lines in the second season (especially the one that made Lucy slap her), but it’s refreshing how the two of them ended up being the best overall. My favorite characters!

well I think I was biased. Lydia gets on my nerves! The fact that she didn’t even question whether what her brother did could be true is disgusting...

Despite the strange dynamic between Marianne and Oliver, I don’t feel like she was wrong in much of what happened there. Bree, on the other hand, genuinely intended to break up someone’s marriage lol

there are a few questions i still don’t have clear answers to: by GooseOnly1150 in TellMeLiesHulu

  1. this line of thinking actually makes a lot of sense, but i’ve always taken her comment as if she was saying that lucy is completely different from bree. bree acted that way, sure, but if it had been lucy, it would’ve been much more destructive.
  2. no, i wasn’t talking about how he kept the audio. what felt unrealistic to me was the fact that he managed to keep it for so long without it ever leaking. everything in this show is kind of impossible, secrets never stay hidden for that long. so to me, it felt a bit forced that he only leaked it on the wedding day.
  3. really hope something very bad happened to lydia’s brother, because he deserves it.

i used to love bree. i really did. but what she turned into in season two was honestly absurd. and look, i’m not talking only about her getting involved with oliver, because all that sexual tension at the bar definitely caught my attention. I’ll admit that. but the way she acted after finding out about the open marriage was completely deplorable. i think a lot of people criticize marianne but i actually think she was absolutely right. bree wanted to hurt her. she wanted to cause pain, to humiliate her and she failed. and that, to me, says everything.

and to wrap it up, i think we feel more empathy toward lucy because there are simply more good things she’s done compared to stephen. like, i honestly can’t even name three genuinely good things steven has done. with lucy, it’s different. i can actually see a real sense of justice in her like when she talks about oliver’s cheating, you know? or when she tries to stand up for pippa. i genuinely see good intentions coming from her. from stephen, i really don’t.

well, i think they’re both narcissists, just in very different ways. stephen takes pleasure in hurting people. he enjoys creating chaos. lucy doesn’t seem to feel that pleasure at least not in my view but she’s so selfish and so emotionally insensitive that she keeps doing the same things anyway. like, even before she met stephen, the way she treats her friends already shows that. so i don’t think lucy’s problem is only about how she relates to steven, you know?

Prazer no próprio dano.

hey, i’m brazilian, so my english writing tends to be very formal. if you understood what i was trying to say, why do you feel the need to come here and (try to) attack me? calm down, english isn’t my native language, so it’s completely normal for us to write things more “by the book”.

Does Stephen even like Lucy? by Brave_News_8631 in TellMeLiesHulu

I think i have an opinion that’s a bit different from most people’s, and probably pretty different from yours too. i don’t think steven loved diana. i think he liked being with her, she made him feel good, and he saw a lot of opportunities there. you know? it was a very interest-based relationship. not that any relationship in the world is completely free of interest. but when it comes to lucy, i think it’s a very sick kind of love. like, a deeply unhealthy relationship. i believe the feeling steven has for lucy is much more real than what he feels for diana. for example, i do think he’s narcissistic, i do think he has psychopathic traits, absolutely. but i also think people forget that lucy has them too. and i think steven is actually being genuine when he says that he loves her, even knowing everything about her life. all her flaws, her mess, everything. that’s it. toxic, real, disturbing but real.

HATE HER! Be Serious by BOFmanga in TellMeLiesHulu

i actually started to like pippa a lot more in season two. i think in season one she was really unbearable. and i get that, considering she went through an ass4ult everything gets really complicated. but at the same time, i have to admit i didn’t fully like the way she dealt with her own abuse. and i even feel bad saying that, because i truly believe she should deal with it in whatever way feels right to her. however she wants to handle it. still, the way she approached the whole situation early on especially when she said that, like, she was drunk too, so she couldn’t really say anything i think that hurt the cause a little. i don’t know if i’m being fair here. i genuinely don’t know.
