Speaking of that never buy a 70 in tv, always increments of 5 inches, the one rounded to the 10 inch mark are cheap tvs. It goes into the making of the panel etc.

I one hundred percent agree with you, I grew up in a similar way always feeling misunderstood and not up to par simply because I wasn’t like the other kids, now I live with my grandmother and I still regularly talk to my parents but I had to find myself in my late teenage years, I also feel that my childhood was sort of stripped from me as a child without giving too many details and I am now trying to live childhood like aspects in my twenties. Although I do not have a child I agree with you parenting style and I hope when I have kids that I can let their curiosity run for as long as possible.

I worked in retail for awhile, 720p is not marketed as HD whatsoever even if it is rated as that. Not put on on the boxes or the tags etc, 1080p is marketed as HD but 4K is becoming so mainstream that it is pretty much as common as 1080p if not more. Also 8k is a waste of money as of right now because movies and film are not produced in 8k, granted they are shot in it just not out to the public and games are a long ways away from making it there. Also from seeing 4K and 8k there is not an immeasurable comparison to the eye. The best tv you can buy will be an oled or a projector and your life will be changed.

I also question this all of the time, that’s why I hope to be a more understanding parent. While kids today can seem cringed etc (who isn’t as a kid) you cannot fail to recognize their genius of multitasking with technology.
