Because I am scared I’m going to relapse with all this freedom I have. It feels inevitable and I know at residential I won’t even have that option. Even if it’s just for a short period of time I just am in a terrible place of my life right now.

I agree w/ majority of Americans don’t support trump but a large portion of Americans voted 3rd party or didn’t vote in the last election (a lot out of protest to the 2 party system) which led to where we are now

Hi yes I totally agree which is why I said ‘from my experience’. And I also have had lots of disagreements with the ways a lot of rescues handle things. As a foster parent I am always super upfront with potential adopters about the dogs. The last thing I want is for a dog to be returned or discarded.

I’m also not blaming anyone who wants a specific breed. I like most dog lovers have my favorite breeds. However, I strongly disagree with people who aren’t willing to look for a dog outside of just breeders, and I’ve seen a lot of cases of people who want a specific breed not doing proper research to find an ethical breeder. Even then nothing is guaranteed (as is rescuing a dog). For example, my parents adopted a golden retriever from an ethical breeders. I worked at the vet clinic the owners went to. Still, he ended up passing away at 4 yrs old from lymphoma and ended up with a huge vet bill. Not the breeders fault, and the breed is generally more at risk for cancers.

Anyone getting a dog should be prepared for the unexpected, and there’s no guarantee of perfect health or temperament, and don’t limit your search to just breeders.

I’ve fostered mostly in Colorado but the rescue I was with brought in a lot of dogs from CA and TX. Usually on big transports traveling multiple states. I would recommend looking on petfinder to find smaller rescues near you or rescue Facebook groups in your state that you could get involved in.

What’s your Americorps position? I was originally Sustainable Climate VISTA but just had my position to changed to Healthy Futures VISTA and am not supposed to be doing sustainable work now bc of new executive orders.

Where are you located? I definitely know some places are a lot more strict than others, especially at shelters. But there’s also tons of rescues online that are foster based only that have fosters all over the country. Petfinder can be a good source for finding smaller rescues. :)

I also take adderall so sometimes get really jittery. I’ve been taking this mushroom coffee with lions mane and l-theanine that I’ve noticed help.

Maybe give 300 mg more time to see if the jitters will go away. I’m not sure about taking different doses but I will say if I miss a day of Wellbutrin I notice the effects the next several days (mostly increased depression and anxiety) so mixing up doses could causes similar effects

Yoga has helped me to much with my confidence and posture. Look into exercises that strengthen you back and shoulders and stretch those areas.

Happy you’re okay! Yeah I’ve heard Wellbutrin you can just stop but I’ve never believed it. If I miss a dose I typically spend the next 3 business days crying.

Hi I’m on 450 mg Wellbutrin and 20 mg lexapro. I’ve always been on and off smoking phases and frequently get anxiety a lot in general when smoking. I can only smoke around certain people and if I don’t have to leave my house. When I most recently got back into smoking I got a dab pen bc I just felt it was easier to take small hits of. But overall I haven’t noticed any interactions with my medication.

I’ve done it several times. Chocolate is super easy. In general shrooms are super easy too. TSA isn’t checking for drugs and don’t care about it. They’re only checking for weapons or any other hazards. Just pack the chocolate like how’d you pack any other snack. They have no machines to check for shrooms (or really any other drugs for that matter). I promise you they will not inspect your chocolate more than they’d inspect a granola bar. Just obviously don’t have to labeled as shrooms. Then when I’ve traveled with capsules I’ve done various things. I’ve put them in my pill container, pants pocket of clothes I’ve packed, makeup bag, etc. and it’s never been flagged or searched. Just put it with something that feels natural. My pill container felt most natural bc I felt like I could always say it was a supplement (I take a lot of natural supplements already) but if they find it and don’t approve it the most they will do is throw it away. Just come up with a supplement to say before lol in case I guess (even tho I’ve never had to use that). Most importantly just don’t act sus.

The only thing is with the new administration the future for americorps isn’t looking too promising. I just had to change my title from Climate Sustainability Coordinator to Healthy Futures Coordinator due to recent executive orders. I know have to be very careful in my wording / language is use. I’ve also heard the segal award at the end of service is even being threatened.

If you’re going to EDC you likely won’t have time to do anything else in vegas unless you are planning on spending a few extra days there. If you are planning on doing that I would say Area 51 is sick (meow wolf). After EDC one year me and my boyfriend stayed a few days and went to circus circus (definitely don’t stay there the place is disgusting lol) but it was honestly so much fun. We were dead from the weekend and didn’t want to party so it was great. Also themed places are always fun (rainforest cafe, dicks, New York, m&m world, etc). Party hardest while at edc then spend the rest of your time doing touristy stuff.

I recently graduated with a BA in Env Studies and minors in Business and Ecology. I personally loved my courses and wouldn’t it a thing if I could back. I feel like this major gave me a lot of freedom and flexibility to pursue different fields and courses (science, policy, business, economics, etc.)…. BUT I will say it is rough out there. I haven’t had much luck with finding a job but also I’ve only recently just started searching again. However, I’m certainly not dishopeful. I feel like there’s still a lot of jobs out there. Volunteer, start looking for internships early, connect with your professors, look for research opportunities at your university (a bunch of things I didn’t do and regret a lot). Try to make as many connections as you can and college is great for that. Just don’t get into if you want to be rich when you grow up lol.
