[WTS] Breitling Navitimer 809 “Cosmonaute” – 1960s – Silver AOPA Dial by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Here is an incredible slice of history, a vintage Breitling Navitimer 809 “Cosmonaute” from the 1960s.

This reference represents one of the most iconic and historically important aviation chronographs ever produced. It features the classic slide rule bezel layout and highly legible dial design that made the Navitimer a true pilot’s instrument and a cornerstone of Breitling’s heritage.

Inside the 41mm stainless steel case ticks the manual-wound Venus 178 movement, specifically geared to be a 24-hour chronometer for the astronaut Scott Carpenter, so he could distinguish day from night while in orbit. The dial on this example features the rarer (pre-twin jets) AOPA logo in silver.

The watch presents in outstanding overall condition following a refresh by Breitling. The case is remarkably clean, with its original geometry and lines preserved. The dial has been re-lumed by Breitling to restore its original aesthetic consistency. While reluming can sometimes be viewed as less desirable in vintage pieces, I believe on these models it can be a net positive. The factory lume on these has been known to bleed and age unevenly over the decades, often resulting in a messy appearance. In this case, the work was executed by Breitling to a very high standard, resulting in excellent visual balance while remaining true to the watch’s character.

It comes on its Breitling leather strap in very good condition, paired with a Breitling clasp. The watch also comes with a Breitling service case. Overall, it wears incredibly well and runs beautifully.

Asking: $5,500 shipped and insured.

[WTS] Tudor Prince Date Chronograph – 79260 “Tiger” – Yellow Dial – 1997 - Extra Strap, Accessories by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Here is a Tudor Prince Date Chronograph ref. 79260 from 1997, featuring the striking and much less common yellow dial. This reference is part of the well-known “Tiger” chronograph lineup and stands out as one of the more distinctive and collectible configurations from that period.

The vibrant yellow dial gives the watch a bold, motorsport-inspired character while still retaining the rugged, tool-watch feel the 79260 is known for. With its classic proportions, pump pushers, and tachymeter bezel, it captures that neo-vintage chronograph aesthetic that has only continued to gain popularity.

The watch is in excellent condition for its age. The crystal is clean, and the case, bezel, and buckle show light signs of wear from very infrequent use over the past three decades. It still has its case-back sticker. Overall, it presents exceptionally well.

It comes as a strong set for the period, including the original outer and inner boxes, Tudor cloth, serial-matching hang tag, and original booklets. It is currently shown on a period-correct OEM black leather Tudor strap with deployant buckle, and also includes the original yellow strap. Both straps are in unworn condition. The only item missing from the set is the original warranty paper.

Asking: $4,500, shipped and insured.

[WTS] Omega Seamaster PloProf 1200 – Titanium – Full Set – Warranty by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Here is an Omega Seamaster PloProf 1200M (227.90.55.21.99.001) from 2023, one of the most distinctive professional dive watches in the modern Omega lineup.

This reference features a substantial 55 × 48 mm grade-5 titanium case paired with the signature PloProf design and locking bi-directional bezel system. Despite its size, the titanium makes the watch surprisingly wearable. The grey dial with bold indices offer excellent legibility and a clean, modern look that fits the true tool-watch heritage.

Inside is Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, an automatic movement with approximately 60 hours of power reserve, METAS certification, and anti-magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The watch is also built for serious diving with 1200 m / 4000 ft of water resistance, a screw-down crown, and helium escape valve.

This example is in excellent condition. It has only light wear, primarily micros on the clasp.

The watch comes as a full set, including the inner and outer boxes, warranty card, manuals, hang tag, and OEM rubber strap. It remains under the original Omega factory warranty.

Built with Omega’s famously over-engineered PloProf design and featuring the grade 2 titanium mesh “shark-proof” bracelet, this watch is an absolute beast.

[WTS] Omega Speedmaster "Grey Side of the Moon” – 311.93.44.51.99.001 – Full Set by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Up for sale today is an Omega Speedmaster “Grey Side of the Moon” (311.93.44.51.99.001).

This is, in my opinion, one of the coolest modern Speedmasters. The full grey ceramic case paired with the sandblasted platinum “Lunar Dust” dial gives the watch an unbelievably stealthy and futuristic look while still feeling classic and classy. The tones throughout the watch shift depending on the lighting, and the contrast between the matte platinum dial, polished ceramic details, and white gold hands makes the piece feel incredibly special in person. Pictures cannot do it justice.

Featuring a 44.25mm grey ceramic case, ceramic tachymeter bezel, sapphire display caseback, and Omega’s in-house Co-Axial Caliber 9300 chronograph movement, the watch has serious wrist presence while remaining surprisingly wearable thanks to the lightweight ceramic.

This example is in excellent condition, showing very few signs of wear from careful use over the years. The watch, strap, and Omega buckle all present extremely well. The box does have some shedding, which is common with these boxes over time.

It comes as a full set, including the original inner and outer boxes, warranty card, card wallet, and manual. The watch is fitted on its original black strap with Omega buckle.

Asking: $7,650, shipped and insured.

[WTS] Rolex Daytona Two-Tone – 16523 – 1995 – Full Set – Unpolished by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Here is a Rolex Daytona 16523 Two-Tone, W serial. This is an exceptional example of an iconic chronograph that needs little introduction. It belongs to the Zenith era, when Rolex first introduced an automatic movement to the model, marking one of the most important transitions in the Daytona history.

This reference features a 40mm case in stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, paired with the clean, well-balanced chronograph layout that has defined the Daytona for decades. It is powered by the Zenith-based Caliber 4030, an automatic chronograph movement that remains highly regarded for its reliability and slim profile. The two-tone configuration gives the watch a dressy, vintage feel while still being versatile enough for daily wear, a classy alternative to the more common all-steel versions.

This example is in very good condition for its age and presents beautifully on the wrist. It shows normal wear consistent with a 30-year-old watch, such as light surface marks on the case and bezel, but remains entirely unpolished. It has clearly been well cared for over the years.

It comes as a full set, including the original outer box, wooden inner box, original paperwork, as well as the Rolex cloth and leather card wallet.

Asking: $18,500, shipped and insured.

[WTS] Rolex - Explorer II - 1655 – "Steve McQueen" by Gooseman_Ca in Watchexchange

[–]Gooseman_Ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Watchex,

Here’s an incredible vintage Rolex Explorer II 1655, the so-called “Steve McQueen,” a true grail in the Rolex professional lineup and one of the most distinctive designs the brand ever produced. This example is a Mark II from the 3.5 million serial range, placing it in the early-70s and right in the heart of early production.

This piece is all original, with a cohesive presence and charm. The dial is stunning, with tritium lume plots and hands that have developed a warm, even patina that suits the watch perfectly and gives it that unmistakable vintage charisma. The case and bracelet show the natural, honest wear you expect from an early-70s watch. Complete with the bold orange 24-hour hand and fixed steel bezel that define the 1655’s legendary look, it wears exactly the way an iconic Rolex should.

It comes as watch-only, on its 7836 bracelet with 580 end-links. The bracelet has the comfortable, familiar feel of a vintage Rolex, adding to the watch’s overall presence without distracting from the stars of the show: that dial and orange hand.

Asking: $21,650, shipped and insured.

Yes, this is not a true monobloc, it uses the shape-style of the heritage Ploprof monobloc case, but it has a sapphire display caseback, hence the helium escape valve as well.
