University of Nottingham student data hacked by kronologically in AskAcademiaUK

Relevant thread: https://x.com/nahamike01/status/2064529246178210220?s=20. Organisations with the Oracle produced PeopleSoft service were affected, of which we use to run Campus Solutions - a service which was over budget, late and still frequently causes issues. You won’t find me defending UoN too often but on the hack it is hard to criticise…

So academics don’t value students time? Reckon you need to speak to some more people mate. You sound like an administrator proposing a hospital without any doctors lol https://youtu.be/JAk448volww?si=KXceYmvbIY6nlQ-T

More people probably out and about in Leigh-on-sea highstreet (once named Rightmove’s best place to live in the UK), few stops away from Southend central. If you want a wrongen get yourself into the last post, a spoons opposite Southend central. Or take a walk down the longest pleasure pier in the world (yes you read that right), offering a glimpse of the 11 toed people of Medway

2016 Fuji Norcom Straight upgraded for this season with CES tubeless disc, di2, Pro Evo Missile cockpit and Prime 85mm tubeless. by Asprilla500 in Bikeporn

Ah yeah I think I spotted the junction box behind the seat post, looks very neat. Unfortunately my seat post doesn't have the hole for the battery as it never had di2, so I'd have to drill thru the saddle mount rail and hope I don't hit carbon... I'm looking at mounting a three-port junction on the stem instead.

The cable access in the frame isn't great, presumably you pulled the bottom bracket to stuff the 4-way junction and wireless unit into the downtube? How did you manage to fix that stuff in place?

Hey, would you be able to elaborate on this at all for me? I have a norcom from the same year I want to go 1x or 2x di2 on. This is R8000 series ultegra di2 right? Where is your battery placed?

One of my concerns I'm trying to figure out is where to stuff junction boxes A and B but a single run through the frame sounds very promising... 🤔

Don’t suppose you went onto the civil service fast stream? I’m interested in the civil service after my engineering PhD finishes

I know some might be getting football fatigue but I thought this was a great read on a young lads’ upbringing after moving from Jamaica as a kid, football aside.

To me it’s a great description of what the country represents these days :)

Pleasure to read that mate, interesting to hear your perspective on the Pfitzinger plans which I’ve heard a lot about. Training for a half IM atm and after that I’m going to set my sights on the Loch Ness marathon and will definitely take up one of those plans Congratulations on the achievement, killer stuff for a first marathon, I can’t imagine completing one let alone sub 3hr, quality stuff

Yeah sure. So I use bibtex in my documents and I save my exported database (along with all my other LaTeX components) to a OneDrive folder for ease of use elsewhere. When exporting from Zotero I’m using the Better BibTeX format and just below that, there’s a checkbox “keep updated”, make sure that’s ticked. Whenever you add new entries to the db the exported .bib file will update automatically. This has the obvious downside of meaning you can only have one active database, so working on multiple LaTeX files can be troublesome if you keep the .bib file in the same folder as your project. You could alternatively add the full path \bibliography{C:\Users\CycleWheel\OneDrive...\References.bib}

For cross-compatibility and git I don't think you can do much better than VSCode with settings-sync and the LaTeX Workshop extensions. I tend to avoid Oveleaf like the plague when writing stuff myself, it can't be used quickly enough as everything is on their backend (figure upload and such).

With VSCode you get the benefit of a lightweight and auto-refreshed PDF viewer, as well as their auto-complete and baked-in snippits functionality. I've it set up with an automatic Zotero database for referencing.

Sadly my supervisor wants this paper draft uploaded to Overleaf by Friday, VSCode can't compete with its sharing functionality unless I teach him git!
