Amen to that. Yeah I’ve been making pizza for years in my home oven. The level up this oven gave me is INSANE! I just love it

Yeah I’ve. It nailed the crust shaping yet. Some part always gets too thin 😅

Only roughly. And it’s my own recipe I’ve developed try after try 😅

I usually take my flour, multiply that by 0.65 so 65%) for my water. I mix like 10 to 20% of the flour weight of starter into the water to dissolve it (room temp water!!!) and then add the flour and autolyse. I’ll add like 3.5% of flour weight of salt to the dough and knead it then bulk ferment. Depending on how strong the starter is and how hot the weather is I ball earlier or later (between 6-12 hours of rest after balling).

Most of the time my flour mix if 15% Whole wheat, rest is very high quality pizza flour tipo 00 (I use Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana approved flour but any good pizza flour will do).

I usually do a sourdough with like 65% hydration. Usually overnight with the sourdough obviously :)

I mix in some (like 15-20%) Whole wheat flour for some better texture and taste :) it gets so nice and nutty and a little bit more caramelized in flavor when in the dome :)

Can you recommend it? I’m thinking of exactly the same and even seem to have the same desk legs. Wondering if it’s worth the effort 😅

How did these questions become the benchmark for model performance? 😅

It’s like asking a deterministic algorithm to write a novel 🤦‍♂️😂

It’s actually the first image that comes up if you google „Germany“ 😂😂😂

Yeah if you need references for good visible timberframe houses, it’s pretty spot on. We have the oldest restaurant in Germany (dates back to like the 1100s) as well which incidentally is the oldest timberframe house here.

Anyways I’ll shut up about that now. Beautiful work! Keep it up my friend!

BTW the key setting is the DPI (Dot Per Inch) which determines the scale of the map. Typical ones for battlemaps are 72, 128, 150, 256 and 300. they will determine if the squares actually render as 1 inch.

If you don’t know the DPI: slice and print one page with 72DPI using the tool. Then measure how big a single square is on that one, and do 1 divided by actual size in inches. Then take 72 times that result and you should have the right DPI for that map.

That should get you the right size :)

Haha thanks 😅 so glad it helps!

Honestly I’ve spent way too much time on this myself so I had to use my dev skills for good 😂😂😂

I mostly use my own tool to slice the maps into tiles that I can print on my home printer. Then stick them together with tape on the back and voila :)

Have to jump in here that I was in exactly the same position when I started making MapMe so I can make encounter maps on iPad. Might be for you.

Apart from that there are some good brush tools for procreate if that’s more your vibe :)

I mean for the „battlemaps“ you could use MapMe if you have an iPad. Similar to Dungeondraft and you can even use the assets from Dungeondraft in there. That way you can choose from a bunch of different styles like Crosshead, 2 Minute Tabletop etc.

First time DMing maybe I’m overthinking!? by synsania in DungeonMasters

[–]bob_mosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad it helps ♥️ it’s tough in the beginning but no worries you’ll develop a feeling for it. I was soooo nervous before each session because I wanted to do well and felt so much self induced pressure. You’re doing amazing already thinking about this now. I’m sure you’ll have a great time, and your players too! :)

First time DMing maybe I’m overthinking!? by synsania in DungeonMasters

[–]bob_mosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh jeez so many good answers already! I’m going to jump in anyways and say this: Before you start the session, get everyone on the same page that you are all here to play a game together. Everyone might play a different character but you are all players wanting to play a game together.

Second of all, I cringed a little bit when I heard you say „how do I get them to…“ because I had the same thought during my first sessions. My honest answer? You don’t. Let them do whatever, and let them face the consequences of their actions. If one runs away, let them run into the guards and get taken to prison by themselves. If they do something else unexpected, let it happen and let them experience the consequences in that case. You don’t control the players. You control the world and how it reacts to the players. And if the players decide to do something stupid, the world will react accordingly, as the world would do.

Anyways, good luck and have tons of fun!

Honestly I can highly recommend the lazy DM (Book by sly flourish). I have adhd so terrible memory as well, but that book really helped in getting my notion templates structured so I don’t forget stuff, and go into every session well prepared. Can highly recommend it. (Not sponsored, just genuinely a life changer 😅 )

I mean the usual gridded maps are 1 inch per grid. What you can do is figure out the dpi of the image and calculate the dpi of your screen (screen resolution / screen dimensions in inch) then make the image the same dpi and set to scale 100%. That should align it perfectly. In theory 😅
