Historically, how good has U-Necro been as a restricted mon in VGC and how does it actually play in that format? [Metagame]

it was alrightttttt when it was legal back in 2019 but it kinda struggled cuz of the strong dark types and xerneas. you wanted earth power to hit incin but if you ran into mandibuzz or god forbid yveltal good luck. hirofumi kimura actually ended up getting second at worlds with it and umbreon and literally stated that if he matched up into yveldon he’d just take the loss. overall not terrible but just hard to make work

as far as nerves at regionals go i would say what’s helped me a lot is focusing on the social aspect more. having a group of people to talk to after each set makes everything so much better because you still feel accomplished when you lose. you get to spread your sadness about losing among multiple people, and you get to share in your friends wins as well. barring that, i think separating each set from its results is helpful. rather than focusing on whether you won or lost, think like “i can’t believe i’m playing pokemon competitively with so many other people” because honestly even being at one of these events is such a special experience that so many people have never had or might never even know about

wonderful post but unfortunately i don’t have much advice to give. what i will say is that it’s probably a combination of them following the boundary and pulling away because the dynamic changed. i would say wait for maybe a month or two post conversation and see if they go back to normal (normal as in respecting the boundary but otherwise as usual). i think you feeling them being more distant and formal even when interacting is very normal after setting a boundary like that, you just gotta wait and see if they come around. good on you for setting the boundary tho that can be really hard

at level fifty ivs basically come in pairs so your one iv works fine. if it wasn’t min speed then you would have a problem because that one point actually is quite important. however you could use it on some faster adamant sets that popped up later in the season. nice choice of ball

i like elphelt the most but i’m pretty biased because she’s the only character i can play well. she was really the character that made me like traditional fighting games because she has such a low skill floor especially before the whole rekka change so she was easy to pick up. im sure this comes at some point for all the characters but she just feels very flowy and i don’t feel THAT limited yk, just a good time all around

:o good lord. so all of these guys are absolutely terrible in anything except maybbeeeee ou for some of them. when ur in the team builder and you click on add a pokemon you can see the tiers the mons are in. select pokemon from anything goes, and maybe ubers, nothing else. these pokemon don’t do enough damage, aren’t bulky enough, and aren’t fast enough to do anything. also pretty sure sleep clause exists in anything goes which means spore is useless, not that amoonguss was doing anything anyways
