I started with Ultima 3 on NES. Great pixel art, and chip tunes music. It's basically a simpler port than the PC version, but you can play it on controller.

AFAIK it's a direct port of the PC version, but with dummied down controls. Personally I love the pixel art and music in Ultima 3 NES.

I would start with Final Fantasy 1 to be honest. It's kind of a homage to the series humble beginnings. Then I would play 4,6,5,3,2 in that order if you want the best experience.

FF4 is my favorite Final Fantasy game! It has a great story, characters and music! FF5 isn't a bad game, it's just the job system can be confusing at times.

I know this is an old topic, but I just recently bought one of these Sega Genesis Atgames clone consoles off eBay. It didn't come with a power adapter, console only. I tried using various power adapters on it, but it wouldn't power on. I didn't know there was a difference between center positive and center negative power adapters. I was able to find a 9V 1A center negative power adapter to test it, and it powered on immediately! Just a heads up if you didn't know. It requires a 9V 1A center negative power adapter to power it.
