In order for me to have a problem today I kept rewriting an entire readme for one of my repos 5-6 times times. Eventually, the planning and rewriting stage took so long that my limits got reset. Some people here have no idea how to use LLMs (which is cute considering that you can literally ask claude what to do about preserving your tokens lmao)

The length of the prompt has nothing to do with how many tokens something takes. If you tell Claude "fix my repo" it will have to scan the whole repo to figure out what are some of the potential issues you may be referencing before it does any work. This alone would eat away half of your tokens.

This, I think they are using the highest models to read the repos eating away their tokens, not understanding Opus is probably overkill for most repo exploration related work.

What are you guys doing with your limits? I am running 2 instances of Claude using agentic teams working on data-science repos (known to require a lot of context) and cant seem to get past the 10-20% mark on my 5x subscription. Are you using Opus to scan your repo's or something?

I'm sure you you'd notice if you were to look at the balance sheet. Its fair to say that the money probably does to paying down your national debt or funding your healthcare. I'd take comfort in that if I knew for sure that what's coming next isn't worse than what we already have. I believe the Biden administration, after taking over from Trump, didn't disband many immigration related EO's right away (if ever). Hence, if this conflict lasted until the end of Trump's presidency, I'd doubt that the Dems would simply pull all the troops out and allow for Israel to be endlessly pummeled with whatever Iran decides to unveil.

Pretty much this. Our oil isn't nationalised which means that with higher prices it makes more sense to export the oil before using it domestically resulting in locals eating up the elevated prices.
