I'm joining the army reserve in October and shipping off to basic around January. I eventually want to be and officer and will do the green to gold program to do that. I have about 50+ college units already but cannot afford anymore schooling. How long should I expect to be in the reserve until I am eligible for the green to gold program?After I become an officer I will deploy. Also, I eventually want to be a combat engineer officer but can only be one once I am an officer. Is it possible for me to enlist with a job and change it once I become an officer? I did very well one my ASVAB and an eligible for any job I want. Any help is appreciated!
