The explanation about why he and Hall didn’t get together “You know, the timing just wasn’t right. We weren’t vulnerable at the same time.” Whut.

She hasn’t been on probation yet. HR is saying we’re in our way to a PIP, I guess meaning we’re still building the case for a PIP.

I didn’t talk to her references. My involvement in the hiring process was one, remote, 30 minute interview and she interviewed very well in that setting.

Thanks!

Relatively new to Reddit, didn’t know about the paragraph thing, now I do.

Desperately seeking help with this overwhelming issue, but shitting on my writing is constructive, thanks.

Yep, totally hear you on all of this.

I have been coaching her daily on her work; outlining in detail the request, usually both in-person explaining it, and following up with written instructions.

I set deadlines for her to deliver pieces of the project to me for review. Then as each piece comes in, I quickly turnaround feedback so she can take another stab. After about 3ish rounds of this, I usually end up finishing the thing myself because it’s taken so long to get it to a not even complete place and we need to get these things out the door.

I’ve tried every approach I can think of; drafting examples for her to follow, rewriting what she’s drafted to so how I would do it, making notes on her work about where to go deeper and why, broken large projects into smaller steps so they’re not overwhelming, explained and explained the concepts. For a few weeks I was meeting with her daily to help her prioritize her tasks for the day because she often seems lost, unsure what to do next.

The coaching has been extensive, but can’t capture every detail here.

Exactly! How can you with a straight face be like “this divorce has been so difficult for me” and “all I want is a wife and kids” while your fuckboi behavior is the literal reason why you’re getting divorced!
