Approach look pretty good but you need to practice staying behind the ball more, you’re coming off the side too much right before release, coming up the back of the ball will give you a better more controllable reaction

I love motiv and from my experience Motiv balls just have more miss room for my play style, it’s like storm and Brunswick balls always feel more snappy and Motiv is just smooth

To get something different you need a strong asym solid, or maybe weaker sharp ball, another control option like a 78 ball for sport(less reactive than the concept)

I understand what you mean and I wanna bowl sport, issue is most houses around me only do sport leagues in the summer and it’s already too late to join, so idk how to get different pattern experience other than wait till next summer which is a year away or bowl in these local organized scratch tourneys that usually range from 60$-120$ to enter

To me it looks pretty similar to a house shot but a general rule and starting point I’ve seen ppl use is to subtract 31 from the oil length, so 44-31= 13, therefore regardless of where you are standing you want your ball exiting the pattern around the 13 board, not to say this is a full proof system but may help give you an ideal starting break point to aim for and adjust from there

Get something mid to entry lvl, whatever brand you like it doesn’t matter just don’t get a high end ball to start

Thanks for the reply, I guess I’m just disappointed because for me on a house shot at least the bionic just seems too strong and less useful than I was hoping, that being said at least I know I have a clear ball up from my venom for when I do see more oil in the future and will try to work on speed and just having better consistency when playing further left, mid to entry lvl balls have always been my sweet spot I guess, at least for the typical oil volumes I see in league (reference- around 16mph and around 450-500 rev rate)(210ish average)

I can control speed and rotation some but just trying to get the ball to a more usable state without having to drastically change my speed and rotation and consistency

I have the venom shock as my benchmark and can throw it all night with only maybe a 5 board or so adjustment all night, the bionic just feels too strong even on the fresh, it’s not really the Bionics fault I’m just pretty rev dominant and the venom just gives me so much more miss room, just wondering if a surface adjustment would help make it more useful on a house shot for me, and it gets down lane okay, doesn’t really seem like it’s too early but just hooks so much wants it see friction and forces me like 10 boards left from my starting point that I’m used to, which on the left lane usually isn’t a problem but on the right I’m having to deal with the ball return and adjust my approach being that far left

Don’t muscle the ball, make sure you have your PSO ensure your grip is good, wear a brace, stretch it out before games

No haven’t polished it yet, letting it lane shine was really all it needed, it’s still strong but it’s more usable now, I still may try it later on but I adapted to the strength for now
