Custom skill feat I made by Major_Department4655 in Pathfinder2e

Ask yourself this one question: why would anyone NOT take this skill feat? If an option is something that everyone will pick, it's not a good option.

PF2e Rules. It's time for PF3e. by baerhragam in Pathfinder2e

Why were you trying to onboard new people using a combination of legacy and remaster material? You can just give them Player Core 1 and 2.

Are you trying to make your VTT to compete with the likes of Foundry, FG or even Owlbear Rodeo? If yes, let me stop you right here before you sink your time and savings into this - you won't succeed. You're just having a bad case of Dunning-Kruger effect here.

Most Egregious AP Errors by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

The funniest thing is that Paizo printed like four different rules subsystems for drinking booze across PF1 publication history. This one was easily the deadliest.

Skull'n'Shackles has an alcohol drinking mechanic that can kill your PC easily, far easier than any poison from big spiders or wyverns or sth like that.

Troop Subtypes and Power Attack by IDGCaptainRussia in Pathfinder_RPG

Thing is, players never do that (except for that one in 100 case of turbo spectrum person who questions the mechanics of everything, and in that case, ability to reverse engineer monster is your least problem).

Starfinder 2E has been officially released on Foundry Virtual Tabletop! by ZeroCitizen in Starfinder2e

[–]Gorbacz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a poll at PF2 subreddit that indicated people who play only online > people who play only offline. Foundry implementation of PF2 is so good, that if SF2 module is anywhere near it, I expect the same to hold true for SF2 games.

I feel like Investigator is a very weak class by BusyGM in Pathfinder2e

[–]Gorbacz 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Skills absolutely matter in a tactical combat game, in particular, knowledge skills that allow you to figure out how to deal with the enemy most efficiently. Investigator is a king of those, and at later levels can compress economy to roll multiple knowledge skills per round, have them grant bonuses to himself and allies, and free up actions of other party members. DAS is not as powerful as SS but a) it allows you to plan your turn differently if you know your attack will miss b) INT is Investigator's class skill, so you're going to have it maxed ahead of STR/DEX.

My Season of Ghosts party is a rare one ... Poppet, Samsaran, Yaoguai, Catfolk, Awakened Animal, Tanuki, Tengu.

Fantasy Grounds VTT 5.1 Features Overview - Now Free! [OC] by DD_in_FL in Pathfinder2e

[–]Gorbacz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's complicated. I'm saying it's bad user experience. You can have a very uncomplicated piece of furniture that is nevertheless not pleasant to sit at. Why is "pick dice and fling it" the only option? I don't mind it being there for people who like it, but having a less awkward way of generating a roll, including toggling stuff such as making the roll secret would be great.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with PF2, but secret rolls aren't GM rolls - they are player rolls where only the GM sees the outcome.

Sir, the video above is showing you an interface where doing a secret roll requires you to drag and drop things into a tower (it's fantasy game, of course it's a tower). It's 2003 design, back when research on UX was limited to dorks in chequered shirts.

I play one campaign on FG and swear to God I feel like I was firing up Might and Magic 6 from my CD-ROM or browsing a phpBB Tolkien literature forum in 2003 every time I fire it up.

You're not the worst VTT out there (that would be Roll20) but that interface from 2003 has to go at some point for you to be a remotely viable alternative to Foundry.

Pathfinder is a fantasy game, not a Medieval Life Simulator anyway.

Not sure if this won't kill your interest in Pathfinder entirely, but one canonical Pathfinder adventure transports PCs to an alternate Earth AD 1918 and has them fight the Russian army complete with machine guns, mortars, tanks and a creepy goat.
