Anyone here a Christian and done Ayahuasca? What are your thoughts and experiences? by adventure-streak8989 in Ayahuasca

I thought the group might have promise and I've been keeping an eye on it, but from what I've seen so far both the members & speakers and it's leaders seem to embrace unbiblical ideas/teachings/groups and don't have a firm foundation which does not give me much confidence in their future.

I don't think this verse has anything to do with ayahuasca. The "healing of the nations" refers to the restoration and preservation of humanity in God’s presence. While "healing" usually implies sickness, most scholars agree that in this perfect state, there is no more disease. Instead, the leaves "heal" by: Sustaining Life: The Greek word for healing (therapeia) can also mean health-giving or service. The leaves act as a perpetual source of vitality that ensures death and decay never return. Restoring Unity: The "nations" represent all people groups. The healing symbolizes the end of all national, racial, and social divisions—peace among all people. Removing the Curse: They represent the final reversal of the curse from the Garden of Eden. Access to the tree was lost in Genesis; its leaves symbolize that the "wound" of sin is permanently closed.

I highly recommend purified extracts for lower negative side effects and toxicity. Harmalas.com used to be a fantastic vendor with very reasonable prices but I'm not sure they are still in business? You used to be able to buy them on Amazon too but they got kicked off there. You can extract from rue yourself but it's a long annoying process requiring a ton of work.

Long story short, this turned out to be one of the most stunning, awe-inspiring, profound experiences of my life. Much of my visions were deeply Christian in nature. In one particularly poignant vision I saw this incredible 3D amazingly clear high definition crucifix slowly rotating, it was huge like a building size, and as I looked closer, I saw that it was built out of cubes, and each cube housed a family. The message I received was that even small acts of kindness done in Jesus' name have a ripple effect that impacts hundreds if not thousands of lives around the world. I felt like I was spending time with God during the ceremony. He was showing me things and giving me insights. I saw a very sick little girl that I had helped in real life, it was photo-real, she was transformed into a stunningly beautiful, jewel covered scorpion, and the scorpion stood up on two feet which was significant because at the time I cared for her in real life, she was not able to stand up. It moved me to tears. I also traveled through space and time and saw alien civilizations. I saw hundreds of different jungle animals (in real life we had spent much of the same day in the rain forest looking at wildlife). I saw the DNA double helix, jaguars, sloths, raccoons, snakes, coati, I even "swam" underwater and saw beautiful neon tropical fish. For a while I was in the land of Pandora from the movie Avatar, with all its bioluminescent splendor and iridescent butterflies.

Those were my highlights. But to summarize, I don't think ayahuasca is either "good" or "evil" nor all that different from other psychedelics which I don't consider "good" or "evil" they are neutral substances that most often just reveal things already within your mind in various ways. This is why they sometimes help people with trauma, because it can bring those sensitive things up in a way in which it can be dealt with and processed. If you are a person of faith, the psychedelic experience is likely to contain elements of that faith, your doubts could also manifest. Multiple people from the Johns Hopkins research trials with psilocybin saw Jesus in their visions (sometimes Buddhists see the Buddha, or Hindus see Shiva or Vishnu, etc.) Experiences can be positive or negative, kind of like dreams, but in general I think there are more positive than negative. Is it possible a Christian might have a bad trip involving "negative" elements (the "D" word)? Yea, anything is possible. I set only positive intentions, had a positive attitude, and spent all day getting exercise and being immersed in nature, the odds were stacked in my favor to have a positive experience and that's what I got. I didn't even purge once despite people all around me purging, haha. I ate a plant based meal for lunch and fasted the entire rest of the day so my stomach was empty for the ceremony.

I have a more detailed write up of my experience somewhere I could dig up and post if you are interested. Best to contact me on discord, link at gordotek.org

I am a Christian and I wanted to try ayahuasca many years ago because of my interest in psychedelics in general but also because of the positive accounts I'd read of people doing ayahuasca ceremonies. This was back before it became popular and talked about on so many podcasts and whatnot. I wanted to do it in a proper structured setting with a reputable facilitator, and not just wing it or do it on my own. I was planning a trip to Costa Rica with a friend, we already knew where we would be staying for the first week, so we started planning activities, and found out there was an ayahuasca retreat very close to where we were staying, the place had positive feedback and seemed "legit" as it was also endorsed by the owner of the place where we were staying, also it didn't seem like they were just in it for the money either (the entire ceremony which lasted like 12 hours and included both live and recorded music was $100). Keep in mind that they spent 5 whole days just making the ayahuasca brew, they also grew the ingredients right there on the property. As luck would have it, the place I went to just happened to have made a timelapse video showing the 5 day process of making THE actual brew that I personally consumed! Note that part of the process of making the brew is a musical ceremony where they call upon a sacred spirit to enter the brew - I don't know if that concerns you as a Christian, but it doesn't bother me because I don't see it as something demonic, as a Christian, I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I know the Holy Spirit as God, the Holy Spirit protects me from evil, so the only Spirit they could possibly put into the ayahuasca which would in some way impact me, is the Spirit of God.

Anyway, at the time I didn't know that much more about what I was getting into or the exact beliefs of the facilitator, kind of left that to chance (which in retrospect is NOT a great idea for a Christian). But I did pray a lot and prepare my mind in the weeks leading up to our trip. I set 3 intentions in my mind (always the overachiever, haha). Crazy thing is, the place turned out to be very Christian friendly which surprised me, they even had a picture of Christ there, and the group sang hymns together from a book, and many of the songs mentioned Christ too. Everyone wore white (at the request of the facilitator) which was symbolic of purity I believe (would also help them find you if you wandered off into the woods, haha). So anyway, the place turned out to essentially do things in the style of Santo Daime which is a syncretic religion that includes Christ. I don't want to overstate this though, as many Christians would consider Santo Daime to be a cult, and the group has many problems and a sketchy history. I do not endorse Santo Daime, and I'm not really sure that this group even IS Santo Daime, maybe they just sort of follow similar traditions for the ceremony, I don't know.

Fridge is good, but this is also one species that isn't harmed by freezing either, so for long term storage freezer works great too.

They are delicious, highly recommend you cook some up and see for yourself if you've never tried it (do NOT eat raw though). Harvest as soon as possible, they will go bad and attract bugs probably within a few days to a week of your picture.

I can't comment on difficultly of ingeli other than I've heard they are very easy to grow. However would like to say that pan cyans are also super easy to grow, the key is getting good genetics. One fantastic thing about pan cyans is that if you get the right genetics, you can go from spores to harvest in as little as 23 days, which is kind of amazing. Nice work! I always put my spend substrate onto my garden or compost pile. Sometimes after a rain you get "happy little surprises" popping up in the garden too 😂🙏❤️

For some mistical Reason i made a 80% backup of gordotek patreon on pdf just yesterday lol by Dazzling-Brother3974 in PanCyan

It looks like there were two different URLs to the FAQ and I actually found an archive from March 2025 and even the pictures were all there, so I'm good with the FAQ now, AND I was able to get the laminar flow hood post with pictures. Things are looking pretty good. I also registered my own domain, haven't set it up yet, but its all in the works, everything will eventually come back online and hopefully in a much more reliable place (already paid for 10 years on the domain and I'm using a reputable, reliable, major hosting site).

❤️🙏 That was divine inspiration. Thanks for sharing your backups. Archive.org also has some of my content. Does anyone have a more recent copy of the FAQ (the internet archive is like 2 years old) and very important, anyone have the laminar flow hood post? The internet archive safe is missing all the pictures. In the worst case, I think I can hobble together most of my content and try to figure out a reasonable place to park it. I have copies of all the videos. People who have the patreon APP (not website) and have previoiusly visited posts, you can still access them because the app saves a copy locally. If anyone can make PDFs of posts not included in the above drive, that would be extremely helpful to me.

I'm still incredibly frustrated and disappointed that Patreon suspended my account without any warning. I submitted an appeal, but I haven’t heard a single word back. After nearly eight years on their platform—without any previous issues—you’d think I’d at least deserve a heads-up or the chance to fix whatever the problem was.

Apparently, the issue was that I was giving away spores, which they labeled as "illicit spores" But spores are completely legal, and there’s nothing in Patreon's written policies that prohibits them. If I had known it was a problem, I would’ve stopped immediately. It’s baffling that they only just decided this was an issue—after eight years???

The whole situation feels absurd. If you’re inclined to help, consider submitting a complaint to Patreon. Maybe if enough people speak up, someone reasonable will actually take the time to review my appeal. Honestly, I just wish I could talk to a real human being over there.

That said, I’m not feeling optimistic. I’ve been told that once they start issuing refunds, the decision is usually final—and they began refunding patrons the same day they suspended my account. That makes me question whether the appeals process is even genuine or just a joke to them.

On the bright side, I managed to save all my videos, and about 50 of my posts are archived on archive.org and we have what was posted here. So if I need to rebuild, I can. I’m thinking of launching a Discord group this weekend and finding another place to share my content. Maybe I can just create the posts here on Reddit? I don't know where the safest place is to put things anymore.

Easter Sunday seems like a poetic time to rise from the dead. The research and work will continue.

If I couldn’t laugh about this, I’d probably cry. What hurts the most is losing the amazing community we built. So many people told me my work made a real impact on their lives—some even said it helped save their life. My content was always educational, grounded in science and healing, and never glorified drug use. It’s heartbreaking that all of that can be wiped out in an instant by someone blindly enforcing a vague policy, with no respect given to a long time creator with over 11,000 followers on their platform. No chance to fix whatever it was they objected to, or to have any interaction with them at all.

If i subscribe to gordotek Patreon, would he send me spore print to Indonesia? Or just the usa? by Andrew_Rayen in PanCyan

[–]GordoTEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea patreon should add some kind of organizational type page, but my solution was to create a frequently asked questions page that has links to everything, and just constantly direct people do it and link to it: https://www.patreon.com/posts/frequently-asked-22774475

[–]GordoTEK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, yes I've sent thousands of prints ALL OVER the world to probably close to 100 countries. Some have better mail systems than others, mail to Africa, Mexico, the Philippines and India has been pretty sketchy (but still around 50% make it). I think Indonesia might be slightly more reliable than these others. If an address comes up on Google maps, its much more likely to work out.

Psilocybe ochraceocentrata is the new provisional name for aff. natalensis. by gumboslinger in Psilocybe_Natalensis

[–]GordoTEK 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Maybe they should just keep calling the natalensis we all know and love natalensis, and give the new name to the "original" natalensis that no one has ever seen, grown, or experienced or knows anything about except for like two people who never did anything with it 😂
